This is for all Dieselheads out there: I have noticed that Shell Diesel does not froth as much as a PSU Diesel. Even Reliance Diesel froths lesser than the PSUs, but more than Shell - any theories?

Froth? Did you notice this inside the tank or did you buy some in a bottle for testing?

An explanation that occurs to my mind immediately is some detergent content (for engine cleanliness) that differs between the two. Either that, or simple adulteration!

Today I got the F430 after filling my bike for Rs 350. Others to follow.
I got 2 for tanking up both our cars today. I already have the full set. I bought them when Shell was selling these earlier for Rs. 100 a piece. Let me start another collection now.

I too have noticed it. I think it is due to the fact that pumps in shell (and reliance) have a lower flow rate at the nozzle than PSU and so lesser froth. sort of like pulled coffee and tea at restaurants which you cannot get at home

This is when the auto-cutoff kicks in, and you manually top up the tank with Diesel till the neck. Have seen it in all PSU pumps, even the ones that are trusted and reliable (eg. TVS, Ekayaars, etc)

Yesterday's price of Shell Super (Unleaded Petrol) @ Shell Pump, Ghansoli was Rs.61.36/- Per Litre & there is no such offer of Hotwheels Ferrari models till yesterday, told my friend to ask there once again today.
But in last year, in the month of May-June; they are offering these Ferrari scale models cars each for Rs.100/- with a purchase of Petrol of more than Rs.1000/-.

The Shell petrol bunks in the heart of the city are again busy with brisk business.

Tanked up my bike with Shell super unleaded for 500 and got the Ferrari scale model car. Sorry forgot the name of the model. Will check and post it.

I filled my vehicles yesterday with shell normal 58.20 per litre
Th offer is actually like this:
fill your tank full of shell fuel or buy a shell synthetic lube and get a model free.
They also give ou a card and the next time you again fill it up, you can take a different model.
The conditions are minimum 1500Rs of fuel for 4-wheelers and minimum 350Rs of fuel for 2-wheelers.

I got a F2005 model for filling up my Honda aviator for 300Rs
He considered my case even though it was not for 350Rs Since this was the maximum vehicle capacity.
I got an enzo ferrari model for filling up our Swift for around 1500Rs.

Earlier the models were for sale for 100Rs if you fill in shell stations but nowhere they told me that a minimum amount of 1000Rs needs to be billed.

I now have three models and am aiming to complete the collection with the remaining three

Looks like this thread has given Shell a boost in sales.

There is also a poster outside the credit card billing area asking customers to pick up thier Ferraris after a full tank.

Got a spider from Shell bunk, Old madras road, near Big Bazaar yesterday. Normal petrol @ Rs 58.20/Ltr.

Fill up fuel at Shell and a Ferrari is yours..

There is an interesting offer at Shell petrol pump in Ahmedabad, feel up the petrol worth Rs.350/- in two wheeler and get a Ferrari scale model to choose from six diff. models. In four wheeler worth Rs.1500/- of any fuel get the same offer for that.

I dont know this offer is valid in all the pumps of Shell in my city or in whole country but in our area it is there.

The scale models are of official licensed products from Ferrai, there are six models to choose, all are scaled 1:38

1) 360 Spider
2) F430
3) F1 model
4) Super America
5) Enzo
6) F50

So far I have collected Enzo, 360 Spider, F430 and F50 they are nice in quality and having two speed push back drive.

Here are some photos of Enzo, sorry for bad quality pictures..
