In Reliance outlet the price of diesel is 42.33. It was at the reliance outlet on Tumkur road.
Not sure why still Shell diesel is costlier.

Ok.. Finally I went to a shell pump to get a scaled down model from the Hosur Road outlet in Bangalore. One thing I noticed is that, the ones they are giving out free is of an inferior quality than the ones they sold in their outlets some time back. I bought one model couple of years back and my son plays with it even now. The free one did not last for a few hours.

Another aspect I noticed is that the packaging of the free models looks like cheap stuff. Mine was held in place with two stapler pins.

Has any one observed this? Or is it that I got a model which was tampered by the petrol station attendants?

Tampered for sure.

I have 4 of them now and all of them were Heated sealed packed. No stapler pins used.

IMO it is 1500 for 4 wheelers and 350 for two wheelers to get a scale model. I have two and hope to get the other 4 before the offer is up. I am planning to compare the models sold earlier to the one being given away now.

I don't think you need to get Shell Super to avail the offer. I have filled normal for twice and got the car both times. The offer does not specify the type of fuel, only the amount.

He was trying to fool you to fill Super petrol. I have seen this many a times. They say they don't have normal petrol and only "Super" is available. Once you ask them to leave it, some magic happens and normal petrol is back.

I think the attendants get some incentives on "super" fuel. The good ones always make sure they recommend you the "super" fuel.

Anyways, to avail the offer you need to fill your tank of any kind of petrol in a Shell bunk worth:-

Bike >350Rs
Car >1500Rs

Topped up at Shell PP at Wakad, Pune. No offer of freebies etc. Shell normal was 58.40 a liter Super was 60. something or was it 61. something. Complete range of Shell liquids in now available here viz engine oils, gear box oils, brake fluid, coolant and steering fluid.

Just a simple query by the lady attendant on my preference 'normal' or 'super'. No undue tactics to sell super. Now they do not voluntarily clear your glass unless specifically asked to.
