Gone up to 64.45 at OMR. Days if high fuel prices again, killer for so many industries!

I am also going to be a regular there. It falls on my daily commute from Gottigere to Kanakapura Rd.

But it was already pretty crowded today.

Yes, it's 64.45 Rs/Litre for Shell Normal petrol , going high once again. Time to go back to IOCL. How much is the price of petrol at other petrol bunks in Bangalore ?

HP Regular costs INR 63.11 in Bangalore. Premium is 65.xx I think.

Today it was Rs.67.35 for super petrol in Chennai. Hitting the pocket a lot. Not too many good alternatives on the GST/Velachery so sticking to Shell. Car feels good though. Once in a while I visit other pumps for premium fuel but they are not up to the mark.

Where in GST road? The HP and BP bunks adjacent to Radisson Hotel are good, but not as good as Shell IMO.

Which Shell pump do you visit? If it pinches too much, switch to Shell normal.

re: Shell fuel price discussion thread. Update: Going down cheaper than PSU's.

Is there a possibility of some 3-way nexus between diesel car manufacturers, oil companies and our politicians?

I sense this seeing that only petrol prices are rising and not the diesel...in all these years, both were increased simultaneously. but not now. If diesel rates are constant and petrol increased, car manufacturers will sell more diesel cars and more profit.

Is the processing cost of diesel put on petrol by the oil companies to keep their profit constant?

since the government can intervene if the petrol prices go haywire, they are they kept silent by the car manufacturers?

As a petrol consumer I sure am worried and my knowledge about indian politics, gives me a strong signal of this nexus. What do you say guys?...

I've abandoned Shell from last week. Feel its a little too high now. Went back to BP. I might just stay with them for a while, until shell brings in some correction!

re: Shell fuel price discussion thread. Update: Going down cheaper than PSU's.

Yesterday night filled a tankful of Shell unleaded for 2500.02Rs (38.79lts) @64.45Rs/ltr. (my first filling at this price)

After enquiring in almost all the fuel stations for all these days, I finally got the shell logo sticker yesterday in the lalbagh Shell fuel station. I got threee of them

Another hike of Rs 2.54 announced. Got my tank fulled at a BP pump (the nearest) @ 62.35 in Bangalore

Going by this pace seems the target of Rs 100/ltr is not too far.
