^^Yes. But I don't think the fuel from Shell is any different. 5% (now 10%?) blend of ethanol is mandatory in major cities afaik.

What is the Diesel rate at the Shell pumps in Pune?? Is the difference too much??

The shells mnager told me that, their fuel does not contain any ethanol and that gives the extra smoothness and feel :-) .

I have no way to validate his claim , but accepted it since i like their fuel and fill petrol from them.

For diesel , I go to BP anyways ..for the 7-8 rs/l price difference.

Shell's Diesel > BP/HP/ Other Govt owned pumps by 7-8 rs/l approx ...that's what I meant.

Govt pumps of IOC/BP/HP etc are at almost same rate , small difference owing to tax/locality/ octroi.

Topped up at Shell yesterday in bangalore Normal petrol now costs 74.35 , which is also up by 3 rs.

I fueled on this Saturday, from Shell Hinjewadi the normal petrol costs Rs71 only!
Its good time to tank full with Shell.

I filled Shell normal on Sunday from the pump near Jakkur flying club @ 74.40! I dont know the rationale behind their increase in price (just because PSU's hiked the price?) and also realized that there is difference in price in different Shell petrol pumps in bangalore!

Great to hear Shell is costing lesser than PSUs. Looks like our Vijay Mallya's dream of Liquor costing lesser than Petrol has atlast been fulfilled.

Current prices in Chennai; Shell super Rs 74.50, normal Rs 72.00.

Prices are up in Pune as well. Just filled Super @ 73.50. Regular unleaded is 71/-

Still fairly decent though.
