Shell in Pune has increased the Diesel Prices by Rs.2.50 and it is now retailing at Rs. 55.95 :-(

Have not been tracking Petrol prices so not sure if those have been hiked as well. But below are the prices for Petrol

Amit

I topped up my Vista on Saturday and the petrol prices are 76.xx and 78.xx. The reason is unfathomable.

Ajay the rates are from Hinjewadi, Shell. So possibly because it is out of Pune City limits the tax structure might be different.

It's back to the bad ole days I guess...Shell was 70,xx/73.xx till about 2 weeks ago.

What is the price at the BP pump in Phase 2? It used to be 69.98 before the last hike.

There is usually an exactly 2/- difference between the Shell pump at Hinjewadi and the one near the start ofthe expressway, though both are not that far apart. But this looks good- will continue to fill at Shell for now.

Re: Shell fuel price discussion thread. Update: Going down cheaper than PSU's.

Guys in Bangalore, any idea what Shell petrol costs today?

The low fuel lamp in my car started glow on Sunday.
I didn't take out my car on Monday and yesterday evening I had to go out for a 5km ride.

I wanted to fill petrol but the news of price reduction came. So didn't fill yesterday.

Has shell also reduced the prices today? Or should I wait for one more day If want cheaper petrol?

That reply was faster than I expected

What I have observed is that shell is a day slower compared to other oil companies when it comes to price changes.
I expect Shell to reduce prices from tomorrow.

Anyways my vehicle is resting today so I'll wait...

Hahahaha well honestly Hemanth, I just logged onto Tbhp at the very moment you posted that question I guess!!

I hope Shell reduce their price at the earliest coz we Petro heads have forgotten as to when was the last time we read "Petrol Prices are going down" !!

Just filled from SHELL bunk near Hoodi (on the way to ITPL) in Bangalore. Regular unleaded Petrol was @74.35.

I remember reading a board mentioning normal petrol at 74.72 yesterday. So that's a reduction of 37paise?!

Or have they reduced it by that quantum to get the price on par with PSU prices?

Ah, that's great news. At 74.35 the prices are back to pre November price hike. Yet another reason for one not to budge from Shell.

How did you fill at hoodi station when you are now in US...time to consider location change in your profile

Anyways thanks for the new price, I had postponed filling petrol waiting for the reduction. I can go now

@libranof197
you must have seen 76.74...74.72 and 76.74 are very similar numbers and very easy to get confused

Petrol prices have gone down by nearly Rs. 2 in Pune.

Guys,
@noopster @amit @ajay,
what's the relative difference at Shell-Hinjewadi?
