The Shell Fuel pricing website still shows the following rates:

Still wondering as to how Shell was receiving subsidies. Probably they have corrected the price to the market price.

As far as I am aware of Shell does not receive any subsidy. For that matter even Petrol from PSU do not have subsidy on it. All it has is taxes.

Tanked up at Shell OMR BLR (near big bazaar) - 79.95/litre.
Guess that's today's price, though their site hasn't been updated.

I logged on to brag on this thread but I'm feeling better. Had a tank full at Shell Whitefield at 78.95 YESTERDAY ie 16-Aug-12. That was surprising since just the night before (15-Aug-12) I saw it was 76.95 ! 2 rs overnight? I hope SHELL is not taking customers for a joyirde now that they have won the trust.

Filled up at Shell Vittal Mallya Road today. The price is 79.95 for regular and 82 change for Super.
Still worth it as for a 3 litre fill, it costs some 9 rs more. Small price to pay for peace of mind.

Peace of mind it is. Shell does have a reputation for quality. Also honesty, which I experienced. The moment I stopped the car near the filling machine the lady said, sir petrol is 5 bucks extra than other brands, would you like to go for it? Could've easily mentioned the price after filling up.

Pune price is Rs.80.35. I filled up today, but if there is another increase, I am going back to the regular retailers. I keep a limit of 10% above regular PSU.

Was shocked to see that Shell prices in Bangalore are 4 rs expensive than PSU. Any reason for steep jump ? Is this the signs of another price hike in PSU prices ?

I was under impression that the crude prices have stabilized off late. Anything to do with sanctions on Iran crude ?

I am getting really good mileage from HP COCO. Will stick to it for now that the shell price is higher by Rs. 4ish than the PSUs.

I fill petrol for my bike and wifey's scooter as I have diesel car. My wife's M800 is being used very rarely.

For bike, I do tankfull to tankfull method once in a month. So I fill about 12 ltrs and it costs Rs.96/- more for one month, but I get pure satisfaction having quality & right quantity fuel. Also I have noticed shell fuel gets 1.5kmpl more mileage than PSU fuel.

By doing tankful to tankful method, I make very short trips to bunk and always go for single bunk. If we find any complaint with fuel like water in petrol(happens in PSU bunks) we can straight away take them to task. If filled in multiple bunks, you cannot make out who is the culprit.

But doing tankful petrol actually pinches our mind to take out hard cash. Hence I do use HDFC credit card which waives fuel surcharge and later pay promptly in the next month along with other expenses on credit card bill.

But for Diesel, I never filled in Shell and go to reputed PSU bunk in Residency Road and you know why
