Can someone tell me if the Shell pumps on Bellary road, Dr. Rajkumar road and Yeshwantpur road are selling BS4 or BS3 petrol?

Btw what do the COCO pumps sell in entire Bangalore and Whitefield included - BS3 or BS4?

Yes, that's what the Shell website suggests. If Whitefield with all its Techparks, star hotels, malls is rural, the definition of rural must have changed. Seems like some old classification left unchanged by the govt.

Anyway, enjoy while it lasts.

On a different note, the Rupee has appreciated quite a bit. We must see some price cuts soon.

Classifications are based on extent of designated city limits. Whitefield is technically outside BBMP limits while Jakkur and Yelahanka are not.

Shell has no say in this matter :-)

Well, Whitefield came under BBMP limits some 4-5 years back if not more. I remember BBMP even putting up roadsigns etc after this happened. So, there is something not updated in some section of govt records ??

@CBlazer, I am not complaining ;-) It seems oil firms are wanting to recoup some their previous losses (with the extra they are making now), else the price should have been revised last weekend. Hope, they decide to do this soon!

If you are filling outside octroi limits, it's 73.67. Hinjewadi for example. Just a few paise per litre more than PSU, which is a good deal.

Got my tankful yesterday at Shell station (on the Varthur road) @75.15/L for regular unleaded petrol. That makes it 1p cheaper than the PSUs then

Shell on SH35 at Seegehalli, if I can call it that, is selling fuel at 75.15. Filled on 12th October 2012. Could it be due to being out of city limits?

Pricing difference is due to it being BS III & BS 1V respectively.

Cheers!
