Filled petrol at 68.xx this morning at Hinjewadi. Super is 74.xx.

Diesel has now dropped to 58.xx and they are advertising it heavily.

Filled unleaded petrol for 67.65 per liter at yashwanthpur shell today.
Good news : saw a hoarding "24 hours open". On enquiry I was told tumkur road pump and Dr. Rajkumar road shell pumps also going to be open full 24 hours here on.

Woohoo! That's good news indeed.

I hope a few Shell outlets in Chennai also begin to operate round the clock, with a minimum number of employees working in the night shift. I'm forced to fill a few litres at PSU pumps occasionally (only a handful of them are open 24x7) when the car is running low on petrol late at night.

If one of the Shell pumps nearest to my location is open round the clock, then the car can be fed a nutritious Shelltarian diet all the time!

I guess this has got to be another outcome of diesel prices getting "deregulated", as buyers of the heavy fuel have also begun to patronise Shell pumps now. With the Shell dealers getting more revenue as a result, they can afford to hire extra staff to provide service round the clock. Also, a majority of those who fill fuel during late hours happen to buy diesel (call centre cabs, airport taxis etc.)

Why did SHELL pull out from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh? Any concrete reasons? I have not come across any statement from the company representatives till date. You guys are lucky.

re: Shell in India (fuel, lubes, outlets)

Day before Y'day I filled from Shell @ Sarjapur signal (near iblur) and the bill was 55.1 per litre (normal diesel). I could feel a noticable difference in the car, the NVH has slightly reduced, importantly the throttle response showed a good difference esp at initial gears (2nd & 3rd), Console computer is showing a mileage increase ~1 - 1.5km/ltr (need to check further, done only ~50kms after the filling and reset).

May be the difference is showing since its a remapped car and its very sensitive to fuel, a change in the fuel station can be immediately felt. Its the main reason for filling upto the brim (~66-67 litres) whenever I go to my hometown from the COCO pump infront of the Cochin refinery, its a day-n-night difference compared to the bangalore pumps (even the COCO pumps)

The Kanakapura road outlet near NICE road-Kanakapura road junction is also going to be open 24 hours from here on. Saw the banner announcing the same a couple of days ago.

Horror of horrors. First time in nearly a year, filled up at Shell and not a peep from the attendant(s) about 'Super try maadi Saar'.

Regular Unleaded @64.95/ltr.

Shell Lalbagh Road. It's pretty much my regular pit-stop now as it's en route to work.
