point is this site is Geniune Fiat India website.
Well Fiat definitely dont want to use FiatAutoIndia as a domain name! Just check out the acronym if you add limited! (FAIL!)

Tough choices for Fiat!

Though, I am not sure that site is genuine, it shows, how much Fiat managment is active, there is no visible action from FIAT on the issue

Yes. I went there today. I am planning to buy a new car - up from my M800. I was going to go for the Baleno, but my wife finds it too big. I read up on the Petra and went to Shaman today. The car is beautiful. It is working out to 511,447 on road after discount. So I am really tempted. But you guys are all scaring me.

Wow, probably you can clear up this issue. What are the current trims available for Petra? Is there a ELX or ELX-SP model in addition to EL model?

Sorry about that.

Well, from what they say ....

The Petrol is EL (this is the one I am interested in). There is no ELX I think. Atleast they did not have it.

The Diesel is available as EL and ELX.

I must clarify however that the new showroom has not opened yet. I asked the sales rep about how many cars they sell and she said 7-8 which is as many Balenos that Spectra sells. She said that last month they sold only 3 because their showroom was undergoing work.

Update on EL-ELX confusion! Just received call from dealer. Petra Petrol has only EL model. There is talk of ELX, but nothing that he has with him right now.

Revival - Fiat India??

I was extremely glad to see a full page colour advert. in the Mumbai edition of Hindustan Times for a Palio sport 1.6.
Hope this does well in it's latest avatar. It would surely be a shot in the arm for the Indian subsidiary and inspire confidence in the owners.
I wonder why all the recent adverts. are only for the palio and not petra?

Because the Tata and Fiat combined enterprise is going to sell only Petrol palios and Adventure. Not Petras and Palio D.

On a side note, recently I was at a Tata dealership and checked with them about their support for Palio D. They mentioned that they don't even provide service to Palio D. It's just unfortunate that a nice car is being given an early demise.

Here in Blore, TATA's will service all the FIAT cars including the Palio D,

TATAs will sell all the all petrol varients of Palios , D will be sold only thru exclusive FIAT dealers for now in Karnataka its Javalli motors.

Sales in Blore have been pretty impressive.. from past few weeks in PUG we have atleast a couple guys booking a 1.6/adventure.

Last time we spoke to Manipal guy, he said he gets atleast 2 enquires in a day for Palio 1.6/ adventure.
