Team-BHP - Logan 1.5 with ABS/AIRBAG

Today i went to Mahindra dealer to check Bolero and also noticed Logan 1.5 with ABS along with Airbag for Onroad price of 8 lacs in Bangalore..

this is the first time i am hearing Logan with ABS...

looks like the price set is not right and on higher side...

You are absolutely correct. SX4 is the one to have this in this priceband and is comparatively more feature laden. This looks like just they have added features for the sake of doing so.
This price is too much to ask even for the diesel.

I agree. Given the bland and awfully boring looks of the Logan, I guess this price is way too steep!! Atleast they could have worked faster on facelifting the Logan to the 2009 Dacia edition.

Hmm, why is that expensive for a fully loaded big diesel car? I find it reasonable.

Also, there is some news that a limited edition Logan is coming up in July.

This month's ACI ( AutoCar India ) mentions that Logan is being worked upon for a facelift. Not sure when will it visit India.

Even with the upgraded looks, I feel that the engines themselves are quite weak package and this needs improvement too.

Right now there is no chance that some one is keen on putting money here.

Agreed, but Verna had better engine and Feista has a smoother and slightly more fuel effecient engine.
Logan looks bad as compared to both Fiesta and Verna and this is biggest drawback.

The thread starter mentioned that the price is 8 lakhs OTR. So mostly they will go up.

Leaving the subjective issue of looks, the fuel efficiency seems good from what owner reports on TBHP say. I was reading one which said the city mileage is 18.5, which is not way too different from Fiesta.
Yes, it does not have Verna's 110 horses, but again reviews here suggest lower turbo lag?!

Nice batting for Logan, but its still unattractive any which way. If attractiveness is not a criteria, the dZire is anyday MUCH more feature laden!

Common Mahindra Renault u cannot sell this car at that price, the car doesn't have even the boot opener and electric OVrms which basic hatchbacks have these days.

This is so messy with their strategy on one side they say this is a value product and on the other hand u price it that high

Well, spacewise, doesn't the Logan win over the Dzire hands down?

Anyway, I will be off for a Logan TD today - I will come back with more (or less) ammunition to bat! :)

Buddy, the Logan is in no way fully loaded if you compare to the benchmark, which i guess is the SX4. In fact it is positively spartan.. The ABS was long overdue though.

@muke31 does it have dual airbags / only the driver side one as usual?
