Great looking car! Audi is certainly on the right foot with the new A4, and the way they are handling its marketing & branding. Merc / BMW are surely watching their rear view mirrors closely. I wish the A4 a good fight.

cheers:

Checked out the New A4.

Some comments on the interiors -

2 Roller buttons on the steering console. Lovely and easy to use.
Driver's leg space is a little to cramped.
The number of buttons on the Gear Selector console - Very Confusing. Cannot think of using them while on the drive.
LED Eye Lashes: Looks like a fad that will fast fade away! No way like the corona rings of the Beamer.

Good News: I am told that about 500 CBU A4 are reaching India. Availability is not a problem as well as the CBUs are priced at CKD level. Take your pick.

Note: Make sure to visit the dealer's workshop once. They have a long way to go regarding standards. The place was disappointing. Workshop numbers do not work either. Check them out for your self. You'll find them in all those Audi adverts.

I checked out the A4 this weekend. The car is impressively big but the LED lights were not as heart stopping as they look in picture. Here are few findings:
1) Rear seats are not very spacious. BMW 3 series is far better
2) All high end specs are optional like B&O speakers, Audi Drive select etc. Also none of these are available for 2.0 TDI
3) 2.0 TDI is 37L onroad in Blr
4) 3.2 FSI is 45L onroad in Blr
5) Will all options, 3.2 FSI, price goes to 55L
6) FSI motor needs minimum 95 Octane fuel. Makes it unsuitable for long drive to smaller cities.

Really??

The 3 series IMO already has the worest rear seat space in this segment.

Whats, the point of the increased size if they haven't increased interior space of the A4 ?!

Audi has messed up on the pricing front. They have a fabulous product in the A4, but at this price everyone might as well get the entry level 5 series.

@Raghavv: The A4 is much more comfortable than the 3 series in the rear.

Hi RPM, The back seat is quite upright and even the thigh support seemed low. We check both cars at a gap of 30 minutes, hence pretty sure. Also check out AutoBild comparo, it talks about the same.

Well, from the drive i had on the Audi A4, the rear seats felt far better than the 3 series! the 3 was quiet cramped, while the A4 was surely spacious, and the seats were soft and comfortable...only glitch was that the seats are a tad low, could have been a bit higher, else knees are a bit up. Same with the 3 series.

the comfort was very good, i felt. I did sit in a 3 series one hour after sitting behind in the A4.

Just my thoughts...
