Team-BHP - Any dates for Grand Punto?

Grand Punto and Linea has been in the Fiat Stables at Ranjangaon for a while now. Some information has flown in about the possible launch date of Linea being Sep 10, 2008.
I called up a dealer last month, and they reported that they do not have any news about these launches. As I called up today, the information was that it might get launched during september-october time but only the petrol versions might be rolling out. I had to press a bit for the information and hence is not sure about the same.
Has any one got any information about the possible dates for Grand Punto-Diesel launch?

@kuttapan- Yup lot of news about Linea launch on Sept 10th. I guess Punto should be launched few months after that. But i don think it ll be launched this year if Linea launch is delayed. Punto would be a great buy & worth the wait !

Not before Diwali, at least. It will be interesting to watch how Fiat brings out products, Sedan or Hatch first. Mostly Sedan i.e. Linea is expected at around Diwali.

A friend of mine who was planning for a car (ended up buying a swift) inquired the dealer in Coimbatore about Linea & GP and those guys it seems didn't even know what he was talking about. If that's the case i don't think we can expect anything from Fiat at-least for the next 6 months.
