I think this is a very bad move!

For just around 1.2 lakhs they have removed all possible luxury in the car.

I still found V as vfm rather than E

No one can have those list of goddies in just 1.2 lacs. Honda have miscalculated this.

They should have priced this in the range of 9 lakhs.

S Model was still a better choice

I would still personally got for V variant as it sounds more value for money.
Since my experience for all installations from car accessory shops have gone bad , I just believe in everything factory fitted, and so find V variant more value for money and just.

hey jetu4444 , I read somewhere , the Type R version ( sports ) will be placed around 16-17 lac

I dont see 1.8E as VFM from any angle... For the money we are getting nothing but Civic body and Badge value...

IF the car has a different engine and some more modifications, then i would think of paying 16 to 17 lac..( sunroof, electronic seats, etc )

Honda has made the right move. Real VFM car in my opinion. The only grouse is the omission of Climate control. You can jolly well get 16" / 17" Alloys to suit your taste, stanley leathers, Fogs etc outside with the money saved by splurging on the expensive model. Good to note that they have not stripped the safety features.

Get prepared to see more Civics on road with even more mods.

I think it is a good, specially for enthusiasts, who would like to have choices on their car.

Choice of Leather, choice of alloys, choice of Audio Head Unit, etc. It hurts to first buy a fully loaded car and then again spend money to change all this.

However Climate Control should have been spared, I agree.

wat was the point i wonder..

-as such there would be hardly much of a difference in the month EMI between E and V versions now. ( not that watever difference there was would matter much in this segment )

-wat was the competition that triggered this variant ? i am clueless. cant think of any existing car's market this would take ? new corolla ? not sure - both cars would sell on their own strengths and not on any basic variants etc..

- net net - it would have made a whole lot sense to continue the S version

The TYPE R is not coming in India. Source : The same guy at Ring Road Honda Motinagar.
This is a decision by Honda seeing the rocketing fuel price rises ( They think that people would prefer more economical model that a sports one)

well iam sure that the civic sports will have the same engine, may be tuned with little more BHP, the body kit white alloys and little mods in the interior, thats it, with all this if its gonna be at 16 to 17 lac thats too expensive..i rather go for the ACCORD.
