Indian Rupees 50,000 premium for transfer of Diesel Dzire allotment papers in Chennai!

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...tml#post877863

There was an advertisement in "The Hindu" (see the ad in the link above), Chennai offering to transfer the allotment papers of Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire diesel Vdi - expected delivery end of this month! On enquiring today the gent who posted the ad responded saying that he has offers for Rs.50,000 and is waiting for a better offer! Have not heard of this since the days of the launch of 'Maruti 800' - it used to go at a hefty premium in those days.

@murugan
i think it would be a maruti dealer, with a customers dzire.

do you think it is worth to pay 50000 premium for dzire??

If it was me i would have put that money into Getz CRDI and drive it like a car.

I think that this specific dealer who is at fault. Should be reported to Maruti.

In our country, there are no scarcity for nutcases.:Frustrati

The ad is bound to get a good response.
cheers:

What has this got to do with dealers? Is it directly put by them or some person tired of waiting decided to make money from the waiting period? :D

Man! These guys would love to revert back to the closed-market economy or what?!

For 50K more than a Dezire you can pick up a Fiesta diesel, but it may not be as loaded.

Where is the Ikon diesel? Ford is missing a huge opportunity by delaying it.

Make hay while the sun shines!!! That's what this guy is doing. Is Dzire that good so as to merit a 50k Premium? I dont think so. This waiting Period thingy will kill Maruti. Wake up!!!!

i guess you will have many takers for the ad. There is no dearth of fools in our country.

50k premium for a Dzire - just not worth it. No offense to Dzire owners but its not like its some special limited edition car which you wont get after a period of time. Also think about all the stuff you can buy for the car in 50K. i think a neat pair of tyres, alloys and ICE should be taken care off.

Sadly, the ad will get tremendous response. :Frustrati

Simple outcome of demand exceeding supply. Allotment letter sales have been going on for long; even the Swift diesel commanded a strong premium some time back.

50k premium for the Swift Dzire!! I am shocked reading this. It is more shocking that people are willing to pay this premium to own the Dzire. I dont think it is worth paying this premium after the recent hike of 18k by Maruti. But when something catches peoples fancy, you never know. Looks like there are people who want to have the "in-thing" whatever be the cost they have to pay.

Just another one wanting to cash in on an opportunity i guess. I know i am asking a stupid question.....But is this legal?

It should be because person A is selling his product to person B.
