Why you guys are sure that Linea gonna price in between 7-8 lakhs? They are gonna fix it in between 10-11 laks.
Jetta pricing is too much. They fixed the price above skoda because they want to show the image and value of VW is more than skoda.

That registration site looks fake

Maybe I am wrong, but that registration website does look fake. It is badly designed unlikely for a car company like VW. Also, the site name is not registered in the name of VW. Maybe its there to collect your email addresses and send spam later.

But where do thst sell?

Any ideas on VW's plan on their dealership? If the car is priced well, I think every city deserves it. But I am not sure where are they going to sell the car other than few outlets they have now?

I also got invitation, and I am living in Vadodara. I avoided to mention the cars we have, but then within 10 minutes of registering, they called me up and a lady asked me about the cars we have. Well, I did give the details, but I wont be able to attend this function.

I am afraid that this will result into a lot of calls from their side. I am in tension and seriolsy dont know what to do.

The VW India website states only two engines: 1.6 Petrol and 1.9 TDi PD. There is no mention of the 1.6 CRDi.
The website harps on safety: 8 airbags et al.
Maybe VW will position itself as a safety first brand!
The website has a tab for brochure and prices - but his says "coming soon"

1)
Here is the link:
Jetta

2)
The diesel engine is engine is 1.9 PD ( Pumpe Duse .
This engine makes 250Nm torque at 1900rpm. This engine can push the Jetta to 100 kmph from 0 kmph in 11.8 seconds.
The diesel engine is mated with a DSG gearbox.

Images of technical specifications:

*** = figures with DSG gearbox.

Even the state of tune is the exact same as that of the Laura @ 105 P.S. I think our market is going to run toward the diesel Jetta.

- They succumbed to the beige interiors ;(
- Pete's should work as it is the same engine as Laura
- Will have better image than the Laura - wait to see the prices though..
- Visually seems smaller than Laura in the pictures though
- Great for traffic conditions such as Bangalore (high torque at 1900 rpm..)
- Good size for traffic conditions such as Bangalore (as compared to the new Accord)

10-11 lacs for 1.3MJD 90bhp??? I seriously doubt that. For the A** of Fiat the Linea should not cross the 9 lacs bracket if its launched wid 1.3 MJD and 1.4 P.
