I indeed got the trojan, and my Norton Antivirus 2008 detected it.

The site says "Fuelled by E Vision Technologies", and it opened up properly in IE7 for me - guess they have fixed the problem? Google still says "This site may harm your computer" though...

I dont care much for their website infected with virus, but I do care about their car and with Linea (and Bravo) loaded with Blue&Me technology, I hope the car does not get infected with the virus. The last thing I expect is an error message when overtaking at 100kmph - HTTP 509: Bandwidth Limit Exceeded.

Rather than asking Fiat India, it is better to inform about this to their web developers about this trojan/virus and ask for a quick patch job. A mail can be forwarded to Fiat India regarding the same.

But I don't think everybody at Fiat India is ignorant about their own website. They should be working on it now.
If not, then they better get their acts together soon.

I am also getting the maroon screen while accessing the site with message: "Reported attack site". But only if I access as Fiat India. Trying Fiat India, no problems.
Mine is Firefox 3 in Ubuntu O/S.

Fiat's lack of attention to detail never fails to amaze me; I remember opening a shocking thread with screenshots of their webpage not loading. Reason? Hosting bills not paid.

It is the smaller things that count.

All,
I just did a little browsing on the site and it seems there are some modules infected by the virus.
see the page where you can check the prices
from the drop down select the palio model and you will see the virus.
( do ensure you have a good antivirus before you attempt this )

Sachin Filinto

Edit:
here is the virus details:
Malware Protection Center - Entry: Trojan:JS/Redirector.N

You're spot on Sachin, the trojan activated when I had selected the MJD pricelist. The browser just froze, and when I tried to close it, it wouldn't. Suddenly my antivirus informs me of the trojan virus.
Please do not try this if you don't have a good and updated antivirus.

Is it solved yet?
If not, then shame on Fiat India. I don't want to mince any words but say that this a very big shame on Fiat India.
No wonder people are so upset about this company and their products. If they cannot take care of their own problems, then how should we expect it with their customers' cars??

I had the same problem going to that website from google or directly.

I think it is got something to do with tata's giving a link through their website.

When i type Fiat India directly, then computer gives harmful website BUT when i go to Tata Motors - HomePage and go from there to the products page and go to Fiat Cars, then the website opens up JUST FINE from the same comp and no virus detected.

Does the server hosting the website got something to do with this??
