By default the car looks Sporty. What will they add if they want a Sport model in the future, Just stickers? ;-)
Its a season for Sport badge cheatings.

I was hoping for a complete back change but seems more of a modification in this.

The Civic looks much more Classier than the new Corolla. The civic has a completely smooth design and also looks more sleeker while be proportionate and the WOW!!! Interiors very sporty (but lacks few features which i am sure will be standardized shortly).

The Corolla would be like the VW Jetta. Similar 3 box Sedan.

One thing that's surprising. All the major car manufacturers (VW / Toyota / Skoda) are giving similar looks to all their vehicles (Passata & Jetta) (Camry, Corolla, Avalon even Yaris) (Skoda the entire range looks like twins)??? Where as Honda are the only ones who are giving totally different identity for their cars look at Civic / Accord & City.........

Honda's CIVIC is a class apart.

Without doubt, the Honda Civic is one of the best looking sedans on the road. The old Corolla did look like plain Jane in comparison, but I think the Altis looks much better with the Camry-esque backside.

Well the Honda front portion does look similar across the City, Civic and the Accord. And if you have seen the pics of the new City it looks like a mini Civic - looks are very similar.

Well people saw the car in flesh today.Looks nice from the front.A mini camry it looks. The rear is largely the same with slightly differnt lights and bumper. However the best part of the car are the interiors.Very nicely done. The centre console looks very classy and upmarket.not flashy like the civics but definately classy.Since the car was covered completely with a car cover ,I could not see the whole profile of the car but it looked more or less same as the current corolla.Civic beater,I dont know but definately fresh looking

Well i think the new altis looks good but its does not look big for this segment. Also the interiors are not that great. I did sat in one of them in Thailand where its used as a Taxi, and i was little disaponted after seeing it from inside. Not bad though but maybe i had more expectation from toyota..

Saw this car at Shivahalli Coffee Day day before yesterday. I assume it's the new Corolla and so I posted in this thread.

My suspicions were confirmed when he took a right exactly near the Bidadi factory!!

Plus the KA registration.

The Corollas looks are at the best inoffensive. I mean other than the company or brochure images, on the road it looks pretty plain jane, like mentioned by others very similar to the current Corolla.

I'm not saying it looks bad, but when paying 10lac+ for a car one would expect it to stand out on the road at least for the first couple of months. Perhaps Toyota is confident on winning customers on the Quality/Interiors vote.
Hopefully they price it sensibly unlike the Camry.

I like the front but wish they could have done something more to the back. Is Toyotas A.S.S. any better than Hondas. My dad gets his servicing done from Ring Road Honda in Gurgaon (before that opened it was someone in mathura road) and he isn't happy with either.

I am not able to understand the problem with these compaines, either they don't understand the Indian choice or they take Indian customer for granted. Don't you guys also agree that this Japnees Corolla is better looking?

They have better designs but are not eager to offer in India...
