Toyota guys have finally woken up and bringing 10th generation Corolla "ALTIS" in India.

The images show that they are doing justice to one of the largest selling car brand in the world..
But, do you really think that this car has all the material to hit Magnum, Octi & Civic sales....

Gagan, the car in picture is not the Indian Altis, it is Corolla Altis. I say so because in the glimpse in the TOI ad yesterday they have shown few great features which are not in this car and also which are not in Civic or Octavia. They are in Laura. Toyota is gonna raise the bar this time.

The difference from other country's Corolla comes from market difference. In USA Corolla is like Alto here. It is the largest selling car there. Best fuel efficiency and so on. Whereas in India Corolla is a luxury name. Here they will not position it as a largest selling car but rather a status car with premium value. The point I am trying to say is don't expect a simple Corolla Altis from Toyota in India. They will definitely give a great car and this car will surely have all the material to beat other cars in its segment and also above its segment.

As for revival of Toyota, they need to do much more then only the Altis. People love Toyota in India , but they have not done justice to Indian public. They don't have cheaper models, nor do they have premium cars and SUV's. They are starting on the right foot but it is just the beginning of a new journey for them..
