The Barchetta Scorpion! (A Caterham Replica made in India!)

There's one guy in Bangalore who built a Cateraham look alike called the Barchetta, he fabricated the whlole body, ensured the wheel base was the same as a 118NE, bought an old 118NE, threw away everything except the engine and drive gear, tuned it up, and bolted it on. Runs on the orginal 118 registration

There is a similar one in Bangalore called the Barchetta build on an old II8NE -sits in Cooke Town

...and I get a PM from mathew57, the creator of this machine or rather two of them. I gad seen the blue one sitting in my house a couple of times when he visited my neighbour. Anyway, here are the pics and Mathew had difficulty uploading them. I will let Mathew doe the rest of the talking

ajmat is it ok to run with the older registration like that ? Coz doesn't this have to be endorsed in the RC book and also what about the insurance ?

BTW a real stonker I must say. Hats off to you mathew.

Nice job on the car. I guess only the FIAT Barchetta was not a true barchetta.

@ ajmat- go easy on the kannada
I havent spoken any kannada in 6 years, but I still remember enough to cringe at that sentence.

Back to topic-
1.that car looks lovely.
2.why does it say suzuki twin cam on a 118NE engine?
3.where is mathew57?

Like most of us tbhpians,I have a whole encyclopaedia worth of questions to ask him.
