Well then as I said earlier Mahindra stands up to its reputation of manufacturing cars with Boxy Backs...

Hey amit ,

I guess the car is being launched tomorrow right?? Thats what the website says.

As Parm said , From the scoops I'd prefer the Scorpio rather than the Xylo. But lets decide on when we see it in flesh.

Cheers,
Ramesh

Makes me wonder whether M&M can think outside the box

WRONG.
It looks like the car NEEDS dental braces.

BTW, Mahindra has an obsession with Rabbit Teeth / Vertical Ugly grill. These guys have no aesthetic sense at all. But what the heck? 1000s bought them. I bought one.
I'm just waiting to get rid of my Bolero's rabbit teeth and go the JosePeter way.

Scorpios & Boleros have enjoyed success because these vehicles have proved upon the most vital characteristic of a moving machine - RELIABILITY. I would prefer an ugly but reliable Xylo over any other (not talking about Innova) beautiful but unreliable competitor.

But even I am intrigued that not a single uncamouflaged picture of the Xylo is avaliable anywhere. No leaks to even the magazines? Is Mahindra really that secretive about the xylo or is there a lack of interest in the car/UV? If it's the latter then M&M should be really worried.

3 different threads about the Xylo on T-BHP are enough to prove that there is NO lack of interest for the UV.

btw, when is the original launch date? any confirmed news?

I saw a couple of posters " the xylo is coming" on road sides in chennai. It may be the first time car launch posters resemble movie posters from road side.

M&M is trying to have a trademark grill(inspired from the original jeep) in all their products, who knows may be after a few evolutions in the coming decades, they might be as elegant and as classy as the BMW's grill.

Just hours to go for the launch and still no brochure or pics at Team-BHP!!

M&M have done well to the secret. Lets hope the vehicle is worth it!
