i dont think it deserves as much bashing as it has received on this thread.

yes, it is ugly when viewed head on, but the rear & sides are pretty decent. the interiors are great except the middle vents. they seem to be spacious and has many practical features. and if the top end sells for 8.5 lakhs, its 3 lakhs cheaper than the top end innova. wish they provide ABS and airbags though.

it has AC vents on all 3 rows, every individual has got his own reading lamp, digital as well as mechanical speedo, trip computer, what else?

even the innova is not entirely handsome. oh, i forgot... its a toyota!

all said and done, i feel scorpio is still better!

While i agree with what you've mentioned, one needs to also consider the fact that for M&M, they are targetting the sedan customers, and the young crowd to purchse this vehicle. With looks like these, how much it would appeal is the question.

EDIT : Senthil, you're a bad boy.. beat me to it! I shall also try some mods on this.

I have a feeling that just like Innova, this car is going to grown on us as well, and this car is going to look way better in real.

Good effort by an Indian auto maker.

Steering wheel is exactly similar to Sumo Grande! Xylo design seems to be a melting pot of Tata Sumo Grande, Toyota Innova & Korean Kia Carnival minivan.

However it is the first time in M&M history they launch a product with reasonable features. Given the nose dive of global steel prices, Steel the 75% ingredient of all M&M vehicles, Xylo Prices could have been still lower by at least 5-10% . Traditional M&M's Greed for a 2.5CRDE engine seen again!

Large families i.e Families with two children and living with parents will prefer this type of automobile!

By the way why no dimension details mentioned in M&M's brochure?? Any idea about the rear boot luggage capacity? Fuel tank capacity?

Anyway Tata could seriously think of fixing something on SumoGrande both on prices and interior quality aswell.

Front grill is not very pleasant to eyes which can be revised by M&M in due course.

Good effort by an Indian auto maker. Congrats to M&M

Sure, the Grande looks good on the outside, but the interiors seem to be a different story altogether.

Sir, give credit to Mahindra- they've at least tried to cover up the "ugly Bolero tooth" with a chrome - finished diaper printed with their logo!

Great job BBS.

I think M&M should have you as a consultant.

I visited the wbsite today, the interiors seemed to be better than Scorpio at least ergonomically, at the price we pay for a VLX i feel cheated seeing the Xylo interiors.

I wonder that's why it is comparable with a rhinoceros when viewed head- on. And remember, the rhinoceros is a force to reckon with even if it looks are reminiscent of the Jurassic Age.
