If this engine makes it into XLYO, then we will have a best combination of engine and car considering that XLYO will have better ( hopeufully ) aerodynamics and will be a bit lighter.
Surely IMO, this is the only motor that can take it to new level it wants to go. If 4X4 XLYO is going to be available, then Mahindra should sincerely stop Scorpio and name this car as new Scorpio. Scorpio has a good brand image and it will better for this car to capitalize on that.
NO WAYS!!! they should not stop the scorpio, they should launch an all new scorpio instead. there are many SUV fans here and we DONT like MUVs!!! and mahindras are known for their "jeeps", so please mahindra!

Mahindra is already working on a new SUV, being developed with the US market in mind. It'll be positioned above the Scorpio. Check post no. 235.

Xylo Engine

This afternoon I came across a website - Mahindra Xylo M Hawk Review, Mahindra Xylo M Hawk Price Quote , Finance Mahindra Xylo M Hawk, Comparison, Insurance - Automotive at MaxAbout.com which writes that Xylo will be available with both 2.6 CRDe & 2.2 mHAWK options. They have also displayed an image.

I am not sure how reliable is the source of this information.

Cheers!!!

this pic has already been discussed about.

it appeared a couple of months ago in the Autobild India magazine.

I pretty much assume that this is no way close to the actual MUV.

Rightly said! To me it looks more like a sad looking cartoon car.

They could have definitely done better.

Cheers!

If this indeed is the Xylo, God help Mahindra.
:(

Why their obsession with "Rabbit Teeth" grille?

Mr. Anand Mahindra is a Big Hummer fan (tried to buy out the hummer brand), so the use of Rabbit grill on almost all their cars.

What i expect from the Xylo is that it will try to fill in the gap between the Scorpio & Innova and will be cost effective while doing that.

It should do well.

Anand Mahindra may be a Hummer fan but Chrysller sure is not amused with Mahindra's grills

Affordable MPV

Thats a good find alright! By the looks of it, this vehicle seems to be more curved and not BIG looking as the Scorpio. If this is Ingenio then it would be a great fit for Indian market which lacks an affordable MPV/CRV type vehicle. Any other of the same kind costs 14 plus...

So great job by our fellow spy and great job Mahindra! Would look forward for the full view soon!!cheers:

The 'dog-car' in Dumb and Dumber looks better .
Nonetheless, it just might not be the way the real car looks ... if you recall, there were so many 'Swift Sedan' pictures doing the rounds on the net- which was some photoshop guy's handiwork.

That is just a rendering by Autoblid India. I am pretty sure the real thing will be much nicer. Its designed by some EUropean studio supposedly.
