The print version of Economic Times Bangalore edition says:
"Automobile major Mahindra & Mahindra, which forayed into the passenger car segment with Logan, rolled out its sedan offering, Xylo, on Thursday"

ROFL!

EDIT: here is the link
M&M launches Xylo

To me Xylo looks OK in its present form . However your modification looks pleasing to the eye!! They should have hired you for styling instead

How about some changes to the rear? Mail them your work may be they will know where to head when the time is for make over.

Good job Benny. One of my friend who test drove the car yesterday said that he is very much impressed with the car(both interiors, exteriors & the engine power).

Today's Delhi edition of Times of India carries a two page centre spread XYLO "The Era of Sedans is Over" ad.

The ad really looks in poor taste.

THe Mahindra Xlyo can start a whole new thread. Is Mahindra Xlyo the ugliest car in India ?

Frankly as good the interiors are the exteriors are horrifyingly bad. I mean the front end looks like it banged into a concrete wall and they could no be bothered to repair it and put i on sale like that only.

This will give good competition to the Innova, but if anyone has a little bit sense of styling will not buy the car.

Cheers,
AC

Not really. There are "uglier" examples which sell in huge numbers. Its all about the numbers. And as mentioned by me earlier, It'll grow onto you all (we all)

Thats a pretty good PS job - and shows that the vehicle is redeemable The dash and interiors though are the worse aspect. even so, something tells me the overall package is attractive enough, and outside of this enthusiast community, will do well.

Well said ... but it would be interesting to know according to us which is the ugliest car in India (obviously Indian built)

But am sure the looks of this car will not grow on me.

Cheers,
AC

I got my fisrt look in the flesh.. rather metal today in Kharghar Sec 12 market, light brown sort of colour, temp number.

I actually got down from the bus walked back to where it was parked to get a complete look. Well, interiors are real impressive and well done, I feel cheated in my Scorpio now. M&M should give us atleast the power mirrors free if not the temp gauge and other nick nacks .

Exterior failed to impress, the rear is again the trademark boxy and in the side profile looks out of place.

If they can change the toothy grill to somthing smily and plainer the looks in the front can be taken care of.

The headlamp styling is good, better than the Scorpio or Innova.

Given the agressive pricing& features, it should give the Innova a run for its money specially in the Cab market.

But I still have a feeling it will not make much of an impact on the sedan market as per its official positioning.

the front grill looks really bad, they have tried to give it an aggressive look and failed miserably, looks quite out of shape overall

Toyota got it right with the innova, dont think this has worked

Although I dont think this will deter the sales looking at some of the cars on Indian roads
