I hope Karnataka govt will have "LESS" road tax for NANO if it is setup in here. Anyway, lets hope things first materialize. Who knows where on earth another MB comes in to this.

What is that question? It is like asking a CM if some industry wants to invest in a state, how does it help the CM? Does he want to be a vendor? It sounds really dumb question.

Question was for snaronikar as he had said "We are hoping eagerly he will set up the shop here in KA."

nyway it was in light jest. I think it does not matter where Tatas manufacture Nano so long it is in India. Lets just hope they dont start manufacturing it in China!!! (Although I am 'reasonably' sure some/lot of parts are going to be made in China!)

Karnataka offers land to tatas

Just saw the news that Karnataka has offered 1000 acres of land. I can almost sense Deve Gowda taking on Mamta Banerjee's role. Let the next round of games begin.

Amen!

If that happens, we could soon have CKD Nano kits coming across from China.

Or worse, the Chinese would beat us to the launch with a Nano copy.

Still WB is calling out for TATA
Resume work at Singur, Bengal CM tells Ratan Tata
I guess, he should first make sure MB is "convinced" and then try to convince TATA

I am waiting for the outcome of the todays meeting of TATA & KA CMs.

HAHA thats awesome. The Humble farmer cant argue about this as dharwad as an electorate feels its been neglected and if anyone jumps to protest against it than their names would be tarred badly. Lets see what comes of the deal.

Good news for sure.

Hope others learn a lesson from this. Wish TATA came in before. Atleast we would have had the NANO on roads sooner.

Who all politicians you are discussing about? Like MB, Deve gowda etc...they are people who make least impact when it comes to the Loksabha elections...We have seen this before and the same thing will happen again.

That is what they intend to change by stirring up hot issues. I am sure MB will be able to do much better in this election than before. Nothing works better than getting a few loksabha seats and making the central govt dance to your tunes. And you say devegowda makes the least impact. Then how do you explain him becoming the PM of the country. He became the PM, since in that election he had good amount of loksabha seats.

We are talking of present day, my dear friend and everybody in the state knows how he behaves once he gets the seats. He was defeated very badly in assembly elections. Moreover, he became PM by fluke as all the other people in the third front (during that time) were fighting/run out of ideas whom to make the PM.

As far as MB is concerned, as we have discussed and debated before, she may get few sympthesisers in and around Singur region but when you consider general public i WB, I'am sure that they will definately not support this.

Moreover, the Nano project will go out of WB and may land elsewhere as tatas has already began discussions with other state govts including KA.
