Utter rubbish if you ask me. There is no way the new Vista takes 21.XX seconds to reach 100 kph!
And its hardly believeable that Fabia beats the Palio and the Indica Vista in performance!

Swift is the most peppy and most fuel efficient car among the three. It has great handling. Its a driver's dream car. It is a DREAM CAR for most people for 2-3 months from the time they decide on Swift D..

in 2-3 months time you will see discounts/freebees on Indica Vista. like we have it on MJD.

The article is full Crap! They have posted review of Getz Diesel with a picture of Getz petrol. I think they also couldn't get a Getz D for TD.

SWIFT indigo CS or palio

hi everyone
please help me buy a new car
we are buying a new car for my Wife
her driving is a lot in a day so we are going for a diesel car

we are confused between a few

We are not very much concerned about the boot space but we have the following criteria to decide
  • mileage
  • easier to drive for a lady
  • maintenance cost lesser
We have to decide between FIAT PALIO, indigo CS and MAruti Swift LDI

Please help us. we need to buy it asap

Thanks

why dont you check for the New Ford Ikon with 1.4TDCi at 5.19L ex show room. If you are serious about a hatch then go for Indica Vista. Good VFM.

Aslo for Swift you have to wait for 3 to 4 months atleast.

I would say Ikon Diesel at 5.19 lakhs is pretty good value.... else the Vista.

Indigo CS: For Space and half a boot.
Swift LDI: For good A.S.S. and maybe better FE than the CS.
Fiat Palio: For build quality and maybe better FE than the CS.

Check the Swift LDi waiting period and make sure its not 2-3 months. CS and Palio should not take more than 3 weeks. For a lady, all these cars will have a somewhat heavy clutch (esp. the Palio). Maintenance costs should be almost same for CS and Swift, but the CS quality could be a notch lower than the Swift.

Swift LDi/VDi ready delivery. Spoke to a couple of dealers, metallic colours have ready delivery.

If you are not choosy about colours they are offering ready delivery.

cheers

Anytime out of these 3(CS,Swift,Palio) Swift Diesel is better choice due to
  • mileage -You get more than palio and CS
  • easier to drive for a lady -Swift has EPS so steering is very easy to handle
  • maintenance cost lesser -Again Maruti wins

Half a boot as compared to some sedans like Indigo / Logan and for being a "Compact Sedan". Don't flame me for that , am perfectly willing to take my words back, it was just a figure of speech!

BTW, I love the Indigo CS and I think it's the best looking variant of the Indica / go family.

thanks for the comments guys
We dont have waiting period for swift LDI as to be on the safer side we got it booked 4 months back and we got a call that it has come but not the color that we asked for . So we are thinking if theres any better option that has come in last 4 months we have the time to decide till our color arrives
So now We want to choose between SWIFT LDI and FORD IKON 1.4. can u compare the 2 on the following. Whichever car has better u can write Sw or F.I for it
  • Mileage
  • maintenace cost
  • interior and boot space
  • power steering
  • easier to drive
  • interiors look
  • power windows?
we are comparing the 5.19 Version of ford ikon that someone mentioned above. and i saw the add also in times of india today.

thanks
Haneet
