Indica Vista MJD vs Palio MJD vs Swift DDiS

Now that the vista MJD is out, Its time for a 3 way battle ( which might become 4 or 5 way when the Splash VDi, and if at all, chevrolet launches its own MJD powered beast)

The fiat 500 is there , but its disqualified due to obvious reasons

So let the battle of the MJD's begin. I suppose that palio will be sidelined , but it has a fighting chance, now that it shares some components with the vista , so spares and service shouldnt be all that hard...

Isn't this poll too early on in the day? The Vista has been launched just about 48 hours back. How many people have actually seen it forget test driving it? Those voting for the Vista will be voting on what basis?

well the vista TD vehicles have started to be available now. People have started to get their impressions , and have started to compare the two, or three, so i felt it was appropriate

voted for Vista - same engine, better torque delivery. more space, and of course a substantial 40 K less than DDiS.

Too early to vote. Waiting to see if there are the famed "Tata-Initial-Niggles".

I agree with Amit this poll is too early & will only result in unnecessary debates.

Let Vista come on road in enough numbers for valid votes.

Swift LDi / Indica Vista ?

Hi Gurus,
Let me be clear first about my passion for Swift VXi, I'm currently owning.
I'm a die hard fan of Swift VXi & is in love with this car since I'd seen it on the road for first time. And, that's why this Baby Beast arrived my home 1.5 yrs back.

But, considering my passion for Swift & the Excellent Driving Pleasure I enjoy everytime I step-in, my monthly running has gone up from some 300 kms for first 2-3 monthns to whopping 1700 kms per month now. And that reason is hitting really hard on my Wallet ( monthly expenses on fuel, coz I also own a HH Karizma).

So I'm seriously thinking about replacing it with a Diesel car. Either Swift LDi ( cos I don;t have much money in hands ritenow) or Indica Vista.
For quiet obvious reasons, Swift wins the battle, as I'm already in love with this car & its drive.

Please provide your valuable suggestion, so that I won't have to repent (again ) for my decision after 2-3 yrs.

~Sid

If both Vista and DDiS had same waiting periods, i would prefer the DDiS. Reasons-

1. Better quality.
2. Lesser NVH than the Vista.
3. More Fun to drive.
4. Unknown TATA reliability issues.

I voted for Vista for its sheer space, ride and comfort. I find rest of the factors almost at par with DDis or else ignorable. MJD, no where in the competition unless they come-out with new model with same engine.
