Will there be a 2009 JDM Civic soon ??? EDIT - Its here Now

is there any news on the same or i shall go ahead and get the new city new month. this is really pissing me off. i feel civic is already overpriced plus they might just add more money to the tag in jan. civic auto on road bombay is 1525000 already. if it is going near the 16 bracket, i might as well dump it or spend 3 more and get a accord.

N_C has mentioned of April 09 launch. There is no official news yet so cant say much right now. Till when can you wait max? If you need to book immediately then i think you can go ahead with the ANHC auto.

how true is the april launch means the first quater of the year still old civic and then new one being produced from april, makes some sense but i am not patient anymore. might as well just get city auto since civic in one year already loses 5 laks easily.

Are you saying Civic depreciates by 5 lakhs in one year ? I seriously doubt it. It holds resale value, infact the resale value of Civic is better than Corolla IMO.

Well, it does depreciate by 4 lacs in 6 months. I recently came across one guy who sold his Jun08 Civic V AT with less than 7k on odo for about 11.75 lacs. He had paid about 15.8 lacs on road for it.

They depriciate almost equally

Thats way bad a price he has sold at but carwale says its fine.
Thats a pretty bad resale value in my opinion

True. I was enquiring about this car when he was quoting 12.5 lacs and then finally he had to sell it for 11.75. Its almost like renting a Civic for six months for about Rs2200 per day! (plus the cost of funds)

I believe the A/Ts depreciate much faster than M/Ts.

no auto and manual go head to head now. people buy what they want. the resale is similar of both. though 2006 civics honda itself is buying back at 8 laks beat that. just to go honda with a 2006 civic and they will say the same. thats 50% in 2 years itself. i am thinking weather to get new civic or new city now. but ill wait for a while, let me enjoy the i10 for now

Meh, I didn't care about all that. I bought the car to run it until it falls apart. It's my first car and all that jazz y'know. Nobody else is gonna be driving this baby

Strange! I've been looking for a <2 yr old Civic/Corolla myself, and haven't found many; even the ones which i came across were asking for prices close to the (read 20-25%) new car prices

The changes seem to be minimal...with new pointier chrome grill/honeycombs and octagon tail lamps (instead of round ones). The fog lights are now round instead of rectangular ones.

octagon taillamps, is that really a good move?? i always thought of those round lamps as one of the USP of civic's identity.
Btw the black civic has hot alloys.
