Toyota’s Innova has redefined what a Utility Vehicle is. It has proved successful both in the taxi market and as a family car, offering loads of space and refinement, while still managing to ensure sitting behind the wheel isn’t a chore. In a bid to keep the car fresh and interesting for prospective buyers, Toyota has decided to give the Innova a few tweaks.

The exterior gets a new grille, with chrome slats for a richer look. Whether Toyota will offer the base trim level with the chrome grille remains to be seen. The headlamps are more angular and get the clear-lens treatment, while the front bumper, is all-new, with an angular ridge on either side of the two-piece grille. The fog lamps are new as well.

At the rear, Toyota has chosen to give the Innova’s tail-lamps the LED treatment for a bright-eyed look but the rest of the rear remains unchanged.

It is the interiors which have received the bulk of Toyota’s attention. Recognising the need to offer a few more creature comforts to make the Innova appeal to D-segment buyers, the new Innova features climate control. An in-dash CD changer and audio controls on the steering wheel add to the vehicle’s appeal. The refreshed Innova will be in showrooms in December. While the tweaks are minor, with no technical or mechanical upgrades, it will help to hold the market’s interest especially as the Innova will face increasing competition from the likes of Tata’s Indicruz and the Mahindra Ingenio.

While Toyota hasn’t indicated whether there will be any revisions to the price of the new Innova, we can expect a marginal hike over the cost of the current model

Mods: Do we need new thread if even launch date for facelifted gets postponed?

We already have a thread for new corolla altis & Innova.

If merged with existing thread, please delete this post of mine.

It's been almost impossible to find the innova information in the thread above since most of the posts are about the altis (I've spent 20 minutes). Can you post the URL in that thread where the launch date is mentioned, or just add it to this thread?

Note From Support: Please continue New Innova related discussions in this thread as the other thread has most of the information related to the Altis.

went to galaxy toyota two days back with my friend and inquired about the new innova but i was shocked when they say that they dont know the date of launch. but they were sure that it is not commind in three months. :Shockked:

We bought an Innova V 8 Seater(silver color) on last wednesday.
I already knew about the facelifted Innova due in some time, but there was some sort of a hurry.
After making the purchase, I thought it would make sense to ask the dealer as to when is the facelifted version due, because he's already sold one to us, so why keep us in dark? I was right in judging & he told us that company would be launching updated version in Nov. or Dec. with a minimal price hike.
Just for information, present Innova's prices have been hiked by around 1-1.5%.

i hope innova launch does not get into FIAT mode :) But honestly Innova really needed some thing to push the falling sales figures north. I dont think these very thin cosmetic changes will help the matter in any way. ppl expect more from Toyota (as they have been doing in car segment) as ingenio and Xover are expected in next couple of quarters

I'd vote for a new/better engine :D

The current engine, no doubts being very good, is slightly sluggish for the vehicle's weight. Its not the latest either. How about Toyota throws in a nicer and more modern engine ? the car would become so much more desirable.

i did hope for new innova soon. currenty they are giving 49000 as a diwali discount.
