To me the interesting point is when the writer has mentioned he was cruising at 140km/h and find the car quiet stable. For a small car thats big achievement.
The review is too good to be true. Its rubbish of them to even say that it was stable at 140 kmph, lest if its a relative term. Its small city runabout and it was designed to be the same from grounds up. As always zigwheels reviews have little or no credibility whatsoever. But then again what else to expect when Adil is at the helm.

I really wonder how maruti have taken care off the NVH given that a 3-cylinder engine is inherently imbalanced.

Why did they Launched a car which they cannot deliver in next 4 months?

In this economic slowdown who was dying to book it & wait for 4 months to get the delivery?

No offense, but I would take the ZigWheels report with a bucket load of salt considering that their review of the Indica Vista was a joke.

The most reliable TD's reports i've read are here on this site, so best to wait for TD reports from other bhp-ians.

Totally agree with you guys. I just stated what they mean by their review. 140km and stable is a big Q and i dont think it will be possible in daily scenarios. Anyways i dont go by the reviews of the mags and rely on Td and ownership reviews here on T-bhp itself!
@elfhelm- No offence taken, we all are entitled to an opinion and thats why we are here on this site

Guys! Please, can't we discuss about the car itself rather than hammering some other website?

MSIL has once again launched another small car which looks like it can turn the game hot in the small car scene. Good features, a bit different (odd?) looking, reasonable engine which promises good mileage and well, a not above the roof kinda price tag!
All good ingredients to make this car a success.

Myself and Ishan will try and go for a TD/inside look tomorrow. So, tune in!

Agree with your comments...

The pricing definitely does not point towards the A-Star being a replacement of Alto. So...it seems like the Alto will remain, contrary to news that its production may be stopped in 2010.

So, the customer who would choose between a WagonR and a Santro will have to consider A-Star as one of the options. WagonR head-to-head with A-Star (more or less)???

That is their current design worldwide. GV has the exact same keys.

Speedzak, I knwo you would tell everything but a special notice on the gear lever please. I am keen to know if they have improved the gear box. Estilo being the worst and Wagon R too, no better.

Also, please let me know how Astar performs with the 13inch tyres. Does it scream for more,? like the I10?

I disagree. Alto has much better gear shift than Estilo. Good crispy one. Estilo is like: if you place a plastic stem in an empty pot.

Well, not A-star in Europe because it is not a star there.
