Hmmm... petrol at over Rs.57 a liter. For an average car that makes Rs.5 or more per km on running costs. This is without considering the various other addon costs. Is it any wonder that in India people are nuts about FE?

malaysia is cool

guys

i ve stayed in malaysia for a year. as i understand water at 2RM is costlier to the litre than petrol 1.50RM

they also have some genuine discounts three times a year on everything, dunno if that includes fuel. needless to say state of the art petronas pumps for fuelling. an added info here is that the petronas towers are owned by magnate ananthakrishnan, who was the right hand for mahathir mohammed erstwhile pm of malaysia for 19 solid years!

Actually that's a bit dicey. The oil companies are after the government to raise the petrol and diesel prices for sometime now. Till date government has refused to play ball. Lets see what happens now. In fact with the elections going on in so many states (I think 5) I doubt whether government will bite the bullet at this stage.

Delhi high speed diesel costs 31.05 and normal is around 30.60 or so. Dunno about petrol but Speed 97 is around 60rs.

Driving is the only pleasure you get on most days after work... (work in call centre so no peak hr traffic). With the prices hitting the roof even that will now be compromised!!!! What is happening here?????

Not sure if anybody else has mentioned it before... Without the sales tax & other premium a litre of petrol is supposed to cost only arnd Rs.18/- & We pay close thrice that amount... Not fair, not fair at all.

We are paying thrice where as in US there si no price hike. May be a hike of 1 or 2 Cents.. and in us the current price is sround $ 0.49.. I mean this is around rs 21 here in india.

USA is capturing all the oil in the world. I mean why all the countries are not protesting ?

Because might is right

If the govt. removes unnecessary tax, petrol will be cheaper in India too..
