The subsidy will vanish from LPG and Diesel. Petrol may actually become cheaper.

Well looking at the trend, the day is not far away.

Consider 1.2 euros/ltr. that equals to 1.2 X 58 = 69.6 INR.

So you can see we are not far behind if prices keep heading North in multiples of 5.

Rather than buy zens or HCs, shall I not consider buying a good condition (with new tyres) 1980 premier padmini for 25,000, and splurge my otherwise-EMIs to pay my fuel bills? Ah, Tata, bring that 1Lakh car on man!

My dad has got one. Guess I should drop my plan of buying a Petra and continue with my dad's baby.

the oil firms also want a Rs 1.50 per litre increase in the two fuel prices commensurate with the investments they had made for producing ultra low sulphur Euro III grade petrol and diesel for 11 major cities and Euro II auto fuel for the rest of the country from April 1.
What a load of crap! Our oil companies are among the most cash rich in the world. Besides, getting pure and good quality fuel is our right. Normal fuel today is lower then 87 octane. Even bangladesh gets better quality fuel then us.

the cess for road development has been increased by Rs 0.50 per litre to Rs 2.00.
What road developement? May i know why do we pay taxes? Tomorrow the govt will put some cess for painting lane demarkations and zebra crossings on the roads from us.

buy a bajaj M80 4stroke.

i have heard that actually petrol and kerosene cost the same to produce.but since the govt wants to win popular votes,a petrol user pays for the reduced prices of diesel,kerosene,LPG..........
why isnt the kerosene prices increased or the diesel cost brought on par with international levels.

mumbai has an offshore oil well and mumbaities pay tha max.

somethings really sukk and as some one has said"this happens only in india"

I'd like to see how many still say ' I don't care about mileage' & 'Just give indians something with good mileage & they'll buy it' Well there's a reason good enough to consider the FE aspect as well. You can't be spending 1/2 of your earnings in fuel bills. Thats just stupid.

I'd personally predicted that by end '05 petrol price would be 50bucks to a litre but looks like the govt. is in much more hurry
