guys,

also i do feel that higher tolls should be levied on cars having only the driver on board.as whenever we drive alone in a car,its a huge wate of our fuel resources.

maybe by doing so,people would be encourage to use public transport or amybe go in for car pools.
also the traffic situation will improve drastically.and the fuel consumption will also decrease .

Uhh you want to use public transport .. Remember someones signature? However good public transport is.. it is no match for a car.

Dippy

P.S We guys are all arguing here about the fuel prices but do you really think all of us are gonna stop using our cars

I can just see the threads going from

'K&N advice needed ' type to :

'Which CNG kit for VTEC ?'

and

'Speed 91 or 93 ? ' to

'Running your Baleno on Kerosene'

Damn - well at least I'm getting an average of 13 in my baleno these days - from the 10 my carbed esteem used to give.

5 bucks!!! Thats highway robbery. The government is going to run the cars off the road this way if they keep on hiking the price. Glad to be running on diesel. But the hike still hurts.

Searching for the petroleum minister to give him a piece of my mind.

I dont think its possible for the fuel prices to rise 5 bucks in a go. It would KILL the costing and inflation calculations. It will rise for sure...but 5 rupees is not realistic.

RJ, I still dont and never have. Its not that I am a spendthrift either, but automobiles are the area of my life where I dont economise.

'02 Accent GLS 40k kms, 4 year warranty, new 14" alloys for sale or exchange with used Toyota Qualis in any condition!

'86 RD 350 showroom condition for sale or exchange with used Diesel Bullet in any condition !

Jus kiddin! At least for now. Looks like its gonna be 2 bucks at a time - will still be 5 bucks over 2-3 months.

Any thing possible

we thought in US gasoline prices cheaper relatively they had 200% hike in 3 years(florida). if we see the same hike here it would cost us atleat 78rs/litre by now. guess what we do then?

I have bills of my grand fathers petrol bunk in 1969

it was 2.65 rs/litre of gas at that rate 1.1 rs/year hike (not realistic)

or 16 times costiler!! so by 2041 liter petrol will be 682 rs/liter.

swear I wont even buy my girl a car; leave myself I am far better off on a bicycle or foot or public transport

Another thing is,if fuel is going to cost nearly 50rs/ltr from April onwards,by the time this year comes to an end it'll cost even more!!
The Indian Governments move is simple. They're making luxury goods more affordable and hiking the price of consumer/necessity goods.
So more people buy cars with easy loans etc,the more profitable it is for the government.Get the money out, someway or the other.
