Re: Official tracker of Price hike's & cut's in petrol & diesel in India

Guess this will impact the Shell fuel prices too?

Soon we will have to decide whether to buy a kg of onions to cook or a liter of petrol to get to work!

Re: Fuel Price Thread

This has become a joke in bad taste. Time someone toppled this sorry excuse for a government.
I suppose my next car is going to be electric.

Got a tank-ful of petrol yesterday (M'cycle) and a tank-ful of diesel (Car) today.
Will use the diesel and save the petrol.

Is diesel's prices being increased too? Shame on the gubmint.

deregulate diesel for premium car buyers

Its irrating to see innova and other muv and suv owners paying lesser than me for my alto . Makes me feel that buying the alto was the best thing for me as my travelling is only 10 kms per day .

Re: Fuel Price Thread

Why is this govt keeping quite on this price hike. No one is there to have a hartal for the fuel price hike. It was really a stupid move to deregularize petrol. If only my bike ran on diesel

Edit: This thread is filled with smiley's hitting their head on the wall.

Its a pity that nothing can be done on the fuel price hike

Looks like it makes more sense to buy Electric or Fuel Efficient Diesel cars.

It would not make sense driving a Petrol car with a mileage of 14 kmpl avg., and pay Rs.5/- per km over and above that, your yearly insurance, some guys paying EMI's, regular maintenance and the huge Road tax. We end up paying Rs. 8/- a km

Re: Fuel Price Thread

The oil companies seem to be are increasing the prices like they wish and excusing themselves as the global crude barrel price is increasing.
My only doubt is if the global crude price decreases, will the companies also decrease the price?
Or keep on with the current price? Or rather a decrease of 50ps/l to be fair.

Re: Fuel Price Thread

The way the fuel price is going up, it won't surprise me if it touches 100+ by this year end! With public transport gone to dogs here, this is going to be a tough period for commuters. Hope the metro comes in schedule

I too agree about your projected fuel price

BTW, Bangalore Public Transport is one of the BEST IN THE COUNTRY. What makes you think otherwise.

I once had to meet a chap in the Majestic area at 6:30 in the evening. Decided to take the Volvo and managed to finish my work and get back home before 8. It was the most relaxed rush hour commute I'd ever had.
However, if you are unfortunate enough to miss the Volvo, things are a little more crowded!
This is not the first time petrol prices have breached the 65 mark, but the state of the economy is not as good as it was in '08 so frustration levels are higher this time. The congress obviously has forgotten the mango man (aam aadmi).

oops sorry! was intending about about taxis / autos. Many times you are forced to depend on them.

I agree, Bus service, for most parts of the city is generally good. Esp. the volvo service b/w BIA and other parts of the city.

Re: Fuel Price Thread

How much is Shell increased in bangalore now ? Since the difference b/w govt owned petrol bunks and shell is getting thinner, may make more sense to go for shell petrol.
