Its not going to be easy to raise the prices... In india, with its coalition forces at work, thats one decision fraught with peril. That is why govt is always queasy about reducing fuel prices. Just that this time the bigger problems at home forced their hand.

I wonder what will Reliance do now!

Read in papers that due to the increase in crude oil prices, govt may hike the prices of petrol.

Not sure what would be the hike rate.

I assume the hike will be in betweein Rs.2~2.50/ltr of petrol (basic) and diesel will be around Rs.1.50/ltr (basic). The oil ministry is asking around 5/ltr for petrol and 3.5~4/ltr for diesel........

Fuel Price Thread

Hi All,

Can we all share how much Petrol, Diesel, LPG and CNG cost in your State, I suppose this makes a hugh difference in cost of running depending on which state you belong to.

In Kolkata, normal petrol that I fill is 46.86 per Liter.
Rs 500 get's 10.67 Liters
Rs 1000 get's 21.34 liters.

Note from the Support Staff: Fuel price threads merged into one.

Petrol in Delhi is the cheapest amongst the metros atleast ( I didnt check for other states) and this is not specific to now, but has remained like this in the past too. I've been keeping track, once in a while.
