Finally Maruti realises to do something with the Estilo. But i dont see this as a good move. I frankly feel Estilo should make way for another model to live up to the Zen brand.

How can maruti give the estillo the sport tag? by sticking few stickers and giving it a mp3 player it does not become sport. i am sure that car will tople when driven around a race track, sometimes maruti tends to take things overboard.

maruti was exporting some units to indonesia but quality problems means these are rejected pieces.now, what would you do with it? add some stickers, call it a limited edition and put it for clearence.

once again, stock clearence sale.buy a zen, get accessories free and avoid waste of time at the dealership....

estilo sport - who are these people who fall for such gimmicks
There is nothing sporty about the estilo in the first place - calling it zen itself is an insult to the zen legacy
To add to all that, they now have a sports variant. A sports variant with which you do what ?? can't take it around the track, sporty or not its still going to flip at a 30kmph turn.
Maybe if they lowered the car, reduced the height, made it wider and offered low profile tires and alloys, souped up the engine a bit, modified the suspension and offered all disc brakes we could call it sport edition.
Might as well as launch the old zen carbon 2 seater with these performance enhancements in that case cheers:

When are car manufacturers going to introduce the true meaning of sport in india?? If sales keep going up this way each time they launch a dumbed down sport edition, i am sure never!!

There are hazaar people out there who'll fall for such gimmicks. Can manufacturers in India are encouraged by this very sect.. to come up with such shady models.

And as long as these people are present, the true Sports car in India will never arrive.

Here are some colorful Zen Estilos i saw at the 2008 New Delhi Auto Show. I wonder if the 'Sports' model will look similar to any of these cars?.

I fully concur. You couldn't have said it any better than this.

This Estilo 'Sports' brings to mind the now infamous 'lipstick' remark by Obama, that will probably cost him dearly. . Maruti has paid dearly by diluting the Zen brand with this Estilo thingy.

Estilo sports and a limited addition

I thought estilo itself was limited sales and appeal car.
sports - what makes it sporty -- do they give a Nike/adidas gift voucher with every Estilo now?
