Sep, OD issue has brought spy photos along with an article including the photoshoped India exclusive Yaris front end for the the best selling mid segment sedan VIOS

Any members could shed light on the launch date as i am keen on buying it bcz of its best diesel engine, low maintance cost, more space due to the flat floor, & best mileage.

Very little chances as Toyota's deputy MD clarified at a press statement on Altis launch. However, you never know.

AFAIK, it would not be wise to bank so much on Yaris/like Toyota car coming to India in the short term. Toyota is working on a factory with launch of a smaller car in 2010 (late).

As per Toyota the hatchback will be launched in 2010. So dont expect the sedan version based on it(Mostly Vios) the same year. Vios will be a competitor to the likes of Honda City/SX4 and others. I just hope Toyota just buck up things and launch these cars on time .
