Maybe a future ZX like V variant with a bunch of goodies? Ah, that'll be awesome.

Maybe plonk a 1.6L engine in there too? Nah. That'll be asking too much.

Brilliant Job Sid!! Audio controls on Steering in All New City and not in Civic or the Accord !! I would hope that City covers variants from 7.5 to 9.5 lacs. So the E version mentioned by N_C is right !! Though Honda has done a good job by getting many features as standard i expected a lil lesser but we cant expect much in price from Honda . Can we??

A lot rides on the new City for Honda India.

Despite the new launches of the Civic, Accord and CRV there has been a 20% decline in Sales (Aug'07-4879, Aug'08-3945). Although this is a common phenomenon in the auto market Honda has been able to beat this slump in other markets globally.
Considering their volumes will take a hit especially since the Civic volumes will be eaten into by the Altis, the City will be the major hope to bring in rising sales numbers till the advent of the Jazz/Fit and the proposed small car.

All eyes on the City.

great work in getting the data. This should be an excellent product from Honda like the civic. Whenever we say City we think about its excellent mileage, have to wait & see how much this gives.

Ummm....how did you arrive at that figure? IMO 8.5L ex-showroom means about 9.1L on-road (4% registration, 2.5-3% Insurance). The auto should be about 9.5L on-road.

That means Mumbai On Road would be close to 10lakhs...???
Now this is good an E model. Cheaper means atleast 9.20 On Road Mumbai.

What does Linea have to offer..???

Where, in your dreams? Petrol version itself is 8.16L. Fully loaded. You expect diesel to be 8L? C'mon give MSIL a break.

Wow. Nice specs. But 8.5 ex-sh for the new car with all those goodies?? i.e. Effectively costing less than the current VTEC?? Sounds dicey, but would be fantastic if true.

Depends a lot on where you are. With all the taxes and surcharges coming in it should be around 9.5L on Bangalore roads.
