Just saw this. Good stuff, safety equipment comes as a std fitment on all models.
------------------------------------------------------------------
.... The new Honda City comes fully loaded with all active and passive safety features including ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with Brake Assist (BA), Dual SRS airbags, pre-tensioner seat belts and G-CON (G-Force Control Technology) body with a crush-proof survival zone.

The front body structure of the new Honda City ensures advanced pedestrian safety features. With the new City, these safety features are now a standard offering across the entire range of Honda in the Indian market.

I think the new pricing along with the features of City will be the last nail on FIAT Linea unless they come up with some unbelievable pricing

I am keeping my fingers cross for 1.5V I believe Honda might play a same game when they launched Civic. My expectations from 1.5V are
  • ACC
  • Leather seats
  • Alloys (5 nos)
  • Turn Indicators in ORVM
Please Honda please......... deliver what all Indians want

Just called Linkway Honda in Mumbai. He said that the new City will be availabe only in next month but they are giving some discounts on the out-going model like free insurance and corporate discounts.
just wondering how the used car prices of ZX going to be affected.

I think Honda would have given Linea a shock by launching the E version right now. Now i can see further delay in Linea launch. Im almost sold on All New City. Hopefully mid 2009 . Good pricing from Honda and that too Dual Airbags in E version too ! Jiyo Honda !!

I just observed the A/c controls are a lil different from the Thai version.

I am given to understand that the team at Honda were very keen on providing good back-seat comfort on the All New Honda City.

Now time to check on that.

Why would FIAT be shocked? Their strategy is to wait and watch, and then watch and wait. They will be ready with Linea by the launch of 5th Gen City

the honda world site says the all new city has been designed specially for india - ha!

anyway the E is beginning to appear as the more sensible option - not sure if the seat height adjust, the armrests and the cd-less stereo in the S are worth 50k more

Expect a headlong rush to the ANHC away from the SX4.
It will also pull away customers from the Verna, Cedia and Fiesta.
Let us see what the figures say by March 2009, that will be long enough for feedback from early adopters to filter through to the market and influence sales comprehensively.

In the Interiors section; there is a 'Rear Seat Pillow'.
What's that? It's not literally a separate pillow that you buy everywhere is it?
