Queries
1 - How is the Mahindra Bolero on Service network and Maintenance cost per month?

2- Does any body have any info if the introduction of XYLO will trigger discontinuity for the Bolero?

boleros are very cheap to run and own. they rarely give major trouble and spares are the cheapest. mahindra's service is above average in major cities. the network is good. basically, main parts are available even in local shops/garages.

my comment below:
[quote=rockyb;1079151] Moreover I feel the Scorpio driver seat is crampy compared to Bolero. - Yes. This is true. Bolero legroom is more. But I find the new Crde Bolero Gear lever irritatingly short when compared with my old Bolero Sportz.

XYLO and Bolero are vehicles in 2 different segments. Bolero will not be discontinued.

Just take your old bolero, chop the last pillars off, and you have this vehicle. I am sure the M&M guys will launch this as a damn life style vehicle and mint more money off us. The mod job should not even cost more than 25k at the max. Its about chopping the back, adding a roll cage, and putting in a fiber-glass cover on the rear to seal it off. How expensive is that?

Spitfire...are you listening? Do it to your old 1.2L run Bolero and give her a new lease of life.

No, I am not worried about 4x4...get a propah jeep for that!

The bolero wont be discontinued, its the king of rural India. Technically, if the Xylo does threaten any vehicle, its the Scorpio and not the Bolero. The Bolero is intricately woven in the fabric of rural India.

I just drove the Bolero recently and im very impressed by the way it puts down the power and on gravel it goes sideways like its no ones business!! And the wastegate whistle is also pretty loud. music to my ears.

The worst thing with the bolero is the way it will swings when you cross a speedbraker at an angle (say 45 deg). It will swing your upper body like a pendulum. I had hurt my neck a couple of times. It happens in all SUVs to some extent but i am not sure why its so bad in bolero.

I think having better seats which hug your back and provide better lumbar support is a necessity. Plus better quality three point harness seatbelts will do the trick nicely. Can be done.

You cross a speed breaker at 45 degrees angle?? WOW. Try taking it straight no swings no nothing. Just the rise and fall - twice.

The swing otherwise is due to the horrible rear suspension. Load heavy baggage in the rear and its taken care of. Not practical but cant do much other then that. Stiff springs will jar your bones.
