Hyundai i10

Do anyone aware of this release date earlier. Please do comment.

Thanks,

Thats a great news. I have always admired hyundai diesels. Very powerful and very refined. I saw the car in Pune once. For a few minutes only. But it was way more refined than the micra diesel which I test drove 4 days back.

Good catch, Rajesh. The pics at the i10 site show the old (pre-face lifted) i10 though?

IIRC, the 1.1 CRDi unit was launched in the European countries way back. And the Fluidified i10 is yet to be launched in europe, I don't think the 1.1 Diesel is coming to India any time soon. So lets not expect a Oct 15 launch, especially since the Eon is going to be launched around that time only.

Are you saying you saw a i10 diesel car? Was it a test car or a display one? I believe except for the engine there would be no change in the exteriors and styling for the diesel mill.

Don't know about the dealer confirmation part, but I think the website is their international one, and not specifically for India. Similar page was shown in this thread a few pages back.

EDIT: It is the international website only. If you see the Features tab you will see that it shows a left hand driving wheel.

Re: Hyundai's All new 1.1 CRDi Unit

@Camon: This website is not the Indian one but an international website and these details have been out there for a long time and I remember using this info on my post in ACI forums sometime back. If this news is true then it's a welcome move from Hyundai. But as such the i10 is priced on the higher side with the diesel variant it will go through the roof.

Re: Hyundai's All new 1.1 CRDi Unit

@Camon : I really doubt if Hyundai ll be bringing in the 1.1 crdi on the i10 any time soon. A diesel i10 will be rather expensive and enter a price range where one has other options.

The copyright publication is also dated 2008. I hope Hyundai brings this engine quickly to Indian shores.

Re: Hyundai's All new 1.1 CRDi Unit

Is there a possibility that Eon will be launched with a 1.1L CRDi engine? If so, I guess that will be a block buster from Hyundai. It will be the BIGGEST USP for this car.

Eon is being placed below Santro at 2.5 lac. So i doubt if they would launch it with 1.1 crdi as it would bring its price inline with i10.

Hi Akshay,

After this international site conflict, Now I have to double check with the dealer again.

On questioning the dealer earlier regarding this website detail, his tone was so confident on the launch date.

Regards,
Rajesh
