10% ethanol in petrol

I was reading today's news paper, and I read that petroleum ministry is seriously thinking of mandating 10% ethanol mix in petrol in very near future. I wonder if that should bring down petrol cost and will it impact existing petrol engines (specially new MPFIs)

Most of the Euro-III compliant vehicles support ethanol in petrol, few support 5% others support 10% ethanol in petrol.
