Facelifted Cedia Sports Presentation!

Hey Guys - here you go with the Cedia Sports. Noticable change from the facelifted Spirit version is the momo steering wheel, the alloys and the blacked out diamond grill.

Looks good! Though I think Cedia's time is over. Bring on the new Lancer!

The car looks nice, specially in the black color, but then I seriously wonder if it can sell well considering the arrival of Toyota Corolla Altis. Altis has managed to even give Civic some serious tension.
1) Needs a better motor. I know that the present motor is probably as efficient as a 1.6 and can take Cedia to great speeds. But Altis has changed most of the things.

2) Needs a diesel. Mitsubishi has many diesels with them. Colt was sold with Accent's three cylinder motor. Even that engine with VGT can be helpful. They also have 2.0 which can help more.

I think that a thread already exists :

Yup looks like another internal document leak. Pics look to be from the HM chennai plant.

It also looks like someone from HM is watching team-bhp very closely. this is exactly what I posted sometime back in the other thread:

I wouldn't mind if if they put the same engine as that pic, 2.4L 162bhp MIVEC.
The momo steering just looks yummy. Now this is what I call a faceluft. Good job Mitsubishi

Altis is giving a serious competition to the civic. But still cedia is more than 1.5 lakh less than any of them.Cedia buyers are never civic buyers too ,most of them are fans of mitsubishi and there rally pedigree i believe,

Nice. must cost a bomb with OZ, Momo and the touch screen thingy

Having said that Evo X would be much more "nicer"

ya, cedia does badly need a diesel and a more punchy motor to keep going on here. This looks like a small step towards that, maybe(oh, i wish so)

Damn what they needed was a better engine :(. All this is nice but the car is still 115bhp.

That looks like the Evo IX steering wheel. The pedals are the same too.

Now they have the show. All they need is the GO. They have the wonderful Outlander 2.4L 170PS MIVEC engine.

All they need is to plonk that engine into this car and charge a good 3L more like 14L.

With this we would get the replacement to the Skoda RS in a reliable japanese car for sub 20L.

Not bad.
Front grill and steering wheel are noticeable difference and something I did not like in the old one.
ACC is an excellent addition too. But I guess HM-Mistu is very late with all these.

Not sure if the new square block 4B12 will fit in the cedia engine bay. However the older 4G69 definitely will and that one is no slouch at 162bhp.

All this diesel talk is bs. No one with economy in mind will anyway buy a cedia.
