Worst taillights:
* Baleno (looks to me like a patchwork quilt in an ugly squarish & disproportionate size)
* Scorpio - too thin and tall for the macho look that Mahindra advertises about
* Zen Classic (horrendous)
* Chevy Spark - too large and oblong in the wrong axis. Spoils the rear of the car. The old Matiz taillights were lightyears better!

Best Taillights:
* VW Jetta
* BMW 5 series
* old Merc S class
* Camry
* Sonata Embera

I also find the tail lamps of Optra (old) and Aveo UVA very elegant. They me remind of the stealth

No offence but seems you are in the wrong side of the town buddy! The whole thread talks about the rear light/tail lamp.

1957 Ford Thunderbird. Its tail lights were supposed to resemble the exhausts of jet fighters of that era, particularly the F86 Saber jet.

This is one of the most sought after collector's items today and is very expensive to buy if you can find one. It looks good coming and going. It is famous for its "porthole" window among other things.

c. Maruti Suzuki - Swift Dezire - Yes
d. Hyundai Santro - First Generation - Hated the whole car.
e. Tata Sumo Grande - what's so good about the headlamps too?
f. Mahindra Renault - Logan - I like them
g. Honda City - First Generation - don't even remember. Didn't they look similar to Baleno?

Best of the lot

a. Mitsubishi Lancer - First Generation - Yes
b. Hyundai Getz (not prime) - Nope
c. Ford Mondeo - Even Spark's are quite similar
d. Ford Fiesta (very well balanced and flowing design)
True

My comments. Now my choice:

Best - Old accord

Worst - Has to be a mahindra Jeep (Major!)

Hi All,

I am suprised to see that Verna not been mentioned here. I think Verna's headlamp design is really good and the talilamp is somewhat ok, could have been better.

Regards,
Sajan
Worst Headlamp and tail lamp design goes to the Reva.

+1
Slightly OT, but I remember the first time I heard they were coming out with a sedan version of the Swift, I laughed thinking there was NO way they could do something as ridiculous as that. I mean, if there was ever a hatch that you couldn't slap a boot on it would be the Swift, right? Right?

Wrong. I know looks are subjective, but the Dzire is one of the ugliest cars on Indian roads today, IMHO. Ironic, given the name.
