Chevy Optra has a nice tail lamp design, It's head lamp design is kind of ok

Worst tail lamp design would be the Chevy Aveo but has a really good Headlamp design.

Tail Lamp Designs I like ( which I have seen )
- Optra
- Civic ( that has that afterburner like view when brake lights are on)
- Merc C-Class (elegance)
- Cedia

I dont like
- Aveo ( when i look at it it feels like an optra tail design undergone some ugly modifications )
- SX4 (uninspiring)

Accord V6 3.0 – Tail lights really classy

Baleno – Ugliest rear lights , the Altura Estates were quite nice , though.

Really?

To me the Baleno tail lights are just bland and inspired, they're not particularly ugly. The WORST tail lamps I have ever seen on an Indian car were on the Zen classic. The scorpio with those cheap plastic christmas tree affairs. They looked diseased.

The BMW 3 series lamps are just plain boring, and don't go with the car at all.

OT, but interesting trivia: BMW panicked after the initial strong reactions to the new 5- and 7- Series that Chris Bangle designed, and got someone else to 'tone down' the 3-series that was yet to be launched. Big, big, BIG mistake.
Bangle's work with the 5, 6, and 7 Series has since been hailed as genius stuff, while the 3-series has come in for some serious flak as being the most blandly uninspiring 3-series ever.

I for one, have impure thoughts every time I see the 5-series somewhere. It looks just phenomenal, whether it's stationary or moving.

I would like to add the Corolla altis to the one of the worst taillamps . For a car at that price quite disappointed.

Damn, cover that badge and it looks like a Volvo. Or worse still, a Nissan! Why is Mercedes so hell bent on losing its identity?

I quite like the NHC tail light design. Not the ZX, the one before that. In fact, I think the car looks better from the back than any other angle, especially if it's a dark color. I also like the Aveo, looks great from the back.
Like everyone else, I too think Baleno designers lost all inspiration by the time they got to designing the rear.
One car, not sold here, the looks ugly all around is the Pontiac Aztec. I saw one in yellow in NY and almost puked on the street.

The worst ever standard tail lamp I saw was in the limited edition zen classic a few years ago, the overall styling left me confused as to who actually came up with this and how the h$$l was it approved for production.

It's happening with everyone.
These are the traditional Jaguar XJ lights which have stood the test of time. Still look distinct, elegant and stunning at night.

And these are the new XF lights. They may be good looking and functional. But, are they Jaguar?

Also very reminiscent of the overall design of most Aston tail light clusters.
