IMO the VW Jetta rear lights are superb. If you have seen the rear LED indicators flashing, then you know what i mean.

Most unimaginative rear light designs
Baleno, 118NE, Contessa (yeah, my car), Sumo.
Put them in any order. They are just as bland as designs can get.
Best - Mercedes Benz CLS

Never thought I'd hear something so shocking.
BTW, I don't think Ferrari has set up shop in India. Wouldn't qualify as an option.

Sumo.
put them horizontally on a 70's car design, say like the contessa, and they'd look very attractive !

Oh ya, and i forgot to mention the Audi. The A4 has the best front lights and in comparison the most drab tail lights!

I sort of would agree with Vittalnrv. The car is great no doubt, but the tail lamp of the ferrari's are pretty unimaginative and similar.
The front has the whole agressive thing going and the rear looks a bit bland in comparison, don't you think?

I am not commenting on the looks. But as driver of a vehicle during night time, i hate to have a Hyundai Santro in front of me. The tail lights (2 of them) are very irritating. If the person driving the Santro is brake-happy, then more irritation. I make it a point to have them behind me as much as possible.

No chance! I disagree. Ferrari has the win afterburner jet look which i feel the civic copied. The ferrari looks equally brilliant from both sides.

Look at the images below... they are like torpedoes ready to launch. I think that's aggressive enough.
Check out the smoked lights of the ferraris as well. The twin lights perfectly complement the twin exhausts!

And guess what? this is my hundredth post and what a coincidence that it's about a car i love!

cheers: I second that!

@lamborghini: Any specific Ferrari that made you feel that the tail lamps are ugly! You could share it here for us.

Baleno for sure has one of the worst rear light clusters. I like the Audi R8 rear LED cluster. I also like the rear lamps on the Cedia Sports version.

Best tail lamps: Toyota Camry, Honda Civic, Maruti Swift, Hyundai i10.
Worst tail lamps: Tata Indica, Tata Indica Vista, Mahindra Scorpio

The older Indigo tail lamps looked good and classy but look awkward in the present model after they've been enlarged.

I found the NHC tail lamps pretty good, if not the best in business.

I also like the Civic Coupe tail lamps.

The 2007 Accord Tail lamps look cool too.

The 5 series rear lights when switched on at night look amazing. Have heard people call it the "eagle eyes"
Jetta's look ferrari type.

I quite like the tail lights of earlier generation Palio for its looks as well as functionality.

Baleno lights though they look ordinary are very functional and visible.

Santro Xing is the ones I hate, they are highly irritating to view from behind due to brightness like mentioned before here. Infact there seems to be some functional defect even with its headlights which give a high beam kind of glare even on low beam mode.

Another unimaginative design I would agree with is that of Scorpio.

Aveo (especially a black coloured one) with the 4 'afterburner' type tail-lights.

Very very coincidentally I own one :-)
