The FM channels here are full of adverts - Insurance @ Rs1 for all Tata Safaris! That means one can potentially wrangle out almost a 50k discount on the on the road price - Does this mean something is cooking in the Tata stables - or is it just year end stock clearance?

Very interesting development indeed! :Shockked: Am all looking forward to someone unveiling the mystery. Either way it is our delight - current safari easier on buyer's pocket or a better new safari clap:

I just hope the new Safari has front facing third row seats. After the underpowered engine issue was addressed, the rear jump seat is my major gripe.

It should not be because of a new product launch or a Safari replacement from TATA. It would just be a season discount. Moreover Safari's sales are not doing that great.

Anyways lets see if there is a new product being launched. A new Safari or a similar one.

Wow , great

Sounds great. Delhi Dealors seems to be unaware of this. Can you please confirm where is this Insurance @ Rs1 applicable.

you perhaps need to check sales figures, buddy.

Safari never sold in such large numbers as it is selling now.

This sounds great. This will be major portion which we will be getting as discount.

Sorry -- Heard the advert on Radio Mirchi Coimbatore - so guess it must be applicable in TN for sure .

Discounts are city wise.
For example when I went safari hunting,Delhi dealers were quoting 15K cash discount without bargaining, however in Ludhiana the cash discount was nil and free foot mats were the only freebee, only due to personal relations with the GM we got a hefty discount. He told us that at their dealership there is actually a deluge of buyers, and they don't need to give any discounts.
So I guess schemes are being offered on case by case basis depending upon how the sales are in that region.

Delhi and NCR dealers have been offering 50% insurance free for sometime. It's 100% on Sumo Grande which is understandable considering its sales performance.
