Apart from the neat wheel flares, i don't see anything tasteful there.
Will they also make it mandatory to dress up (or rather down) like Superman to drive this?

:(

I don't think this would be on test.If they are planning to launch it..probably ICML are on high dose of grass.
Probably this car could be heading IITF 08 for display....

Re: New Rhino on Test?

According to the ICML website, they have come up with a new & upgraded version of their existing Rhino Rx in four versions namely Winner, Xciter, Royale and Delite with CRD-Fi technology. Rhino Rx “Delite” is equipped with a 2.0 L TCIC Common Rail Direct Fuel Injection (CRD-Fi) system developed by “Continental International” meeting Bharat Stage–IV standard now delivering a Power of 120 BHP @ 4000 RPM & Torque of 285 NM @ 1750-2500 RPM.

Now with the improved heart and ample power output, this should be doing some decent numbers compared to other MUVs but on the contrary we hardly get to see many examples on the road (at least in Bangalore). Also with reports of Tavera getting the same heart, it seems logical for ICML to push its product albeit with upgrades in exteriors and interiors to gain traction in the market.

Re: New Rhino on Test?

I think the problem is with the Sales & service rather than the product or pricing. There are many taxi companies who would love to buy at that price but would be cautious due to lack of dealers/service centers. A quick look at their website shows they have just one dealer/service center for whole of Delhi. Same goes for Mumbai (and that too in Panvel).

And on the original thread, I just hope they will show some mercy and willn't implement that design.

Re: New Rhino on Test?

Thats one ugly looking vehicle!! It is no way comparable to the market hit Qualis. The design is pathetic and quirky. No way its going to be a commercial success. DC has done a sad Mod job!!

Seriously what is up with Lotus? Either they have an over active tuning department or they really don't know what they are getting into?
It seems like the latest fad among the fringe manufacturers. Get the engine from X, Body panels from C , Suspension and tuning from Lotus and voila, you got yourself a car!

Aaargh.

Re: New Rhino on Test?

I am sure Lotus will tune anything as long as they are being paid, doubt they would say no to any business.

Having said that aren't they the one's who are responsible for the Scorpio's superior handling

Coming back to the picture, hideous looking vehicle. A lot of people who have ridden in the Rhino do have something nice to say about it. It would help if they tried to iron out their quality issues before they try out the "fancy" bodywork.
