I think, the price in the gray market will go down now as there will be very less buyers.
Obviously no T-BHPian is going to buy it, so it has to go down.

Nice one.

And anyway, there is practically no difference between grey and official in India as no tire company anyway honors warranty claims.

Think of it, if Ishaan could not get a claim, what chance does the rest of us have?

Real sad to hear Dunlop closed. The CBZ was launched with Dunlop Geo Cruisers are a std fitment alongwith the option of having MRF Zappers.

The Geo Cruiser according to me is/was the best indian tyre you can get in the market for a bike. I used it and boy was it good or what!

Cheers
Shrey

I thought Dunlop was dead long time back. What tyres do they make?

Brilliant. So may be one day my old shares (only 120 thankfully) may again be worth something. Thank God I did not tear them up!

Well, I recently got my Shogun's front tyre (Dunlop) replaced in warranty. The dealer replaced it without any fuss after I complained of the front end wobbling. I even asked them if they will be sending the defective tyre back and claim warranty for the same. They said yes. I believe even Mithun got warranty for his tyre. All discussed here -

Dunlop India product catalog?

I have not been able to find out about Dunlop tyres, despite seeing them on quite a lot of cars. Primarily on SUVs, and today on a Vento.

I would appreciate any information about the tyres being sold here.

Dunlop India is finished. Bankers are selling the company's properties!

I live very close to one of Dunlop factory for over 3+ decade now.

I recall as a young kid of 8, I used to pass by that factory & hear huge noises. I loved the one that went on like "bung...bung...bung" & still remember I asked my Father what that sound was & when he replied to me it's Dunlop tire production factory after which I observed our Yezdi had Dunlop tires. The compound wall of the factory is little unique that its S shaped in front instead of straight compound wall.

Right now the factory is in shatters, saddens me to see how many livelihood has been affected. The only 2 things that still stands are
1. Lord Ganesha temple outside the factory
2. Dunlop employees union office

Over the years, I recall how the union workers called for strike, made several public meeting, disrupted traffic, given big speeches. They attempted to reopen the factory, I think more than a decade ago, and I started hearing that same old "bung...bung" sound & not more than a week or so, union once again shut down the production.

Whatsoever reason, it saddens to see such a nice company not just being closed, but nature taking its course. Another 50 more years the entire facility would've been swallowed by nature.

Oh!! The Dunlop cricket ground is quite famous & very lively & active till date
