Friends, what's the purpose of a dashboard btw? (am not talking about the meters console etc).
Is storing artifacts etc etc the 'actual design' purpose of a dashboard (the top part of a dashboard)? or is this an Asian/Indian perspective of using the dashboard as a storage medium?

i am surprised how u voted for alto. i think alto dash is a revolution over the awkward 800 and at a price so low the finish and quality of the material used in dash is awesome. 5 years and the plastic hasnt faded or scratched at all. very simple and basic that accommodates everything

The worst is Indica/Indigo Family because of the way it juts out of the dash. Even Old SUMo dash was just cheap Plastic.

Mahindra Scorpio's dashboard, as its camouflauged to look otherwise, but the final execution is poor. The main culprit here is the shear space it occupies from the front windscreen to where it extends, its just too small, probably the smallest wiith very little protrusion into the cabin. Modern dashboards are deep & give a cockpit like feel.
Other worst dashboards are- Mahindra Bolero's, Tata Sumo, Tata Safari's(not dashboard per say) but its placement with respect to the seats, one sits almost atop the dashboard, whereas it should be at the right level.
