Some members of the Palio Users Group were invited to the launch and they have been informed about the change of date.

I somehow don't believe this. If at all true, I won't be surprised that the launch might be delayed to June. The reason can be given as Elections!!!

Do you think Fiat is so responsive. I had told Mangesh during our meet about no mention of a dealer in Goa on the website(though there is one). They are yet to correct it

What are they doing? Are they consulting every Astrologer around to search for a suitable launch date, when there is no competition too?

Last time it was postponed for the

If this news is true, then this is the most ridiculous thing Fiat India is doing. Makes me think an overpriced Honda is better than an uncertain Fiat.

With Honda, one can expect to buy some peace of mind atleast. Can't image how on earth such a clueless management will fix the already tarnished image of their A**. Makes me rethink seriously about choosing a Fiat product in India.

Small Correction: It should be 2009, it cant be 2008 anyways!!, well i think thats a valid decision taken, considering the holistic view of the industry being towards defending our country by those barbarian activities from the terrorists.

I personally feel its a breathing space to FIAT

What is FIAT doing? When will they take the Indian market seriously? People are waiting and waiting for Fiat to launch a serious car, and all they do is keep playing the waiting game.

Can never fathom Fiats strategy, if they indeed have one.

You want to see the Linea right? But on a serious note, they should launch it as was their earlier plan. The press and the public in general now know that Linea production has started.

Nothing wrong with the decision if it's true. Right now everyone is focussed on the terror attack. Even I have been focussing on the terror update thread on this forum in the past few days. I think Fiat feels, and rightly so, that with all the focus on the terror attack and it's aftermath, a car launch wouldn't get too much attention in the media. For once, I think they have a point.

If this is true, Fiat India is really jinxed! Probably makes sense, to delay the launch, but for how long? Media attention will be with the terror attacks for quite some time. They also need to consider the sector slowdown. It maybe a good idea to launch the Linea ASAP since it seems to be a truly VFM car.
